Great question. The most recent upgrade I could find was 2008. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3241444

I can't believe in 2004 he started 79 games , turns down $21 million because it's too low, and then never plays again. That's pretty wild.

And as much as I love him, he wasn't even that good his last 4 years, he always took a ton of shots and usually shot under 42%, without exactly being a tremendous defender. That extension was an absolute gift, and he would have probably eventually been their amnesty cut (they used it on Hoiberg, whose contract wasn't nearly as big).

A perfect example of a player thinking he's bigger than the game...

Spree was beloved in NYC...

But somewhere along the way he forgot that he choked a coach...

He was playing on borrowed time...

and got Black-Balled out of the league for being unappreciative...

He's trying to find alternative energy sources, in order to discover easier and more effecient ways to feed his family.

Yeah, that's ridiculous. I can't believe that bullshizz. I know people that have 2 jobs just gettin' by and he's turning down millions of dollars cause he "can't feed his family"

He's the biggest joke the NBA has ever seen. Matter of fact he might be the biggest joke professional sports have ever seen. Ridiculous.

Yes..
But it was never forgotten by the Owners...My point being he needed to stay humble about his 2nd opportunity in the league......Complaining about 21mil and having to feed his family? Did him in...Never got another offer from any other team... Good bye...
