View Full Version : How good will Bosh be this season?

He gained 15-20 lbs of muscle ( current weight is 250) has worked extremely hard to improve this offseason and was also commended by his coach by being more "engaged".

Can bosh crack the Top 10 or even Top 5 player in the league? NBA All 1st Team? MVP voting considerations? 25ppg and 10rpg player?

He'll be better than last season, he was a 22 and 10 guy last year, but I see his points dropping coming from a raps fan cause of the addition of Hedo, plus the other players.

i think he will level out with the production he had last year. i didnt know he weighs in at 250 now. he should be able to be more physical on the boards and be more of a defensive presence, the is the only part of his game that could really improve. offensively he's a phenom.

yaeh i just read about the 250, 15-20 lbs of muscle. Finally he should be dominant down low. If he is, with the outside game, he will be unstoppable offensively.

Depends on how well the Raptors do. They really should be the 4th seed this year.

Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki , Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Brandon Roy, Yao Ming, Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudamire, Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Danny Granger, Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Chauncey Billups, Kevin Durant and Al Jefferson.

If you lost count that's 21 guys I'd rank ahead of Bosh as an overall player. Bosh would be #22, that fact that he doesn't play much defense and isn't a good leader does him in for me. Like I said, this is my list, by April 2010 who knows what this list will look like.

Yao Ming (healthy), Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudamire (healthy), Danny Granger, Vince Carter, Joe Johnson, Kevin Durant and Al Jefferson (healthy) are all better leaders, which to me, is a very important quality for a franchise player; plus they are better on defense and arguably on the offensive end as well.

Again this is my list and I would take all of the 21 guys I listed before I touch Bosh. Like I said Bosh's lack of defensive and leadership skills do him in for me.

He might Just go off this season since its his contract year and he know a lot of teams are gonna be interested in him and he kinda got an okay team... Mayb a 26.0 & 10.5

I think he'll maintain his current pace which is already really impressive, but I expect a little more on the defensive side.

Joe Johnson and Billups aren't top 25 and Yao is always broken down. Al Jeff is also probably the worst post defender in the league(that gets minutes)...best post offense though

Bosh will still be in the 7-12 range but his team will be better.

I think he could be a top 10 player... He needs to go inside more often and not settle for the mid range jumper, that's what Bargnani's for.

If he does become more of a dominant force down low, he could definitely be a top 10 player putting up about 24 and 11.

I voted top 15, but i think he's gonna play out of his mind this year to get a huge contract next year

Ima go with that observation...i dont see him getting no more that 10 rebounds a game.

maybe 8th in the league or 9th if he works well offensively and defensively

If you haven't been following his progress, you might think he's the same player who has hit his peak. Bosh has another level in him and has completed the work needed to get there. He will not be the black hole, soft, under weight, lack of intensity and leadership player he was last season. With better team components and a deeper roster, look for Bosh to excel in his contract year. I see no reason why if healthy, he can be top 6-8.

Even if your picks were true, you still put 13 players ahead of Bosh, yet you voted him into the top 5.

i think the players who are clearly above bosh are the following

lebron
wade
kobe
cp3
dwight

after that, its bosh's spot to take. if he leads the raps to a 50 win season with lets say 23 ppg and abt 11 rpg and more effort on defense, people will acknowledge his presence even more.

Bosh should be good this year.
1) its his contract year
2) hes been working out gaining mass toughness etc.\
3)hes a boss
4) hes got calderon
5) he looks like a velociraptor.

People who rip Bosh's defense have to understand he spent twice as many minutes playing up at Center guarding bigger players, as he did playing his natural PF position.

People that say he doesn't go inside enough need to explain to me how he got to the line more than anyone besides Lebron, Wade and Howard.
