Last year he was suppose to make 17 million but he surprised everyone to opt out and sign a more long term deal with more in the long run about 55-60 million but less PER year......


HOWEVER....... had he just played through his contract year and earned his 17 million and assume he was all injuried last year

how much do you think he could have even gotten in this year's market with the economy?

I'd have to say he was very fortunately maybe he or his agent knew the economy was coming down ?

he got money and went home. brand screwed him but it workd out well. he might have had to settle for the MLE for the lakers but instead is filthy rich

He'd probably have gotten 9-10 mil.
If Marion can get around 8mil when he clearly didn't deserve it, then I assume a team in need of a PG would spend a bit for him.

I think by 'lucky' he meant they now have Blake. He's going to be part of the rebuilding process whether Clippers brass likes it or not.

back to topic...i think he will end up better in the long run yes. its clear he was out for money since he signed with the clips for such a long time.
