Has more to do with the offense than the rotation....................................Come on.

Braves, Red Sox, and Cardinals all look really, really impressive.

wat got them 100 wins wuz m-tex, a-rod, jeter, cano n swisher, not that rotation. Maybe if burnett would have earned those 16 mil n chamberlain lived up to the hype they would have 115 wins.

And i forgot wang, he could have got at least 15 wins. If that would have happened the would by far been the best team in baseball. And why not just give them the world series trophy.

Yes, because records are the only way to define good pitching.

Gimme the Angels.

Right, Burnett has been brutal for months, and Joba has a pitch count of what 57? Pettitte is old (and hasn't had a big year since '05 in the NL either) The big development for them is CC is hitting his stride and Hughes is making the 8th look small.

Very interesting to see what Verlander can do to them, he wins 2 the Tigers will beat them, again denying the Yanks a shot at the ALCS since 2004.

look at their ERAs, carpenter and wainright have era's under 2.50 and pineiro has a 3.50 era, wellemeyer isnt bad either.

Braves
Giants
Cardinals
Angels
Colorado
Yankees

Wellemeyer has an ERA of nearly 6.00 and a K/BB ratio of 1.41. I wouldn't say he's bad, he's horrible.

Pineiro's got a GB% of 61.4 when he's been a career 48.6 guy and has never had a season where he was over 48.6 until now. I also forgot his 4.43 K/9 and his 4.6% HR/FB when his career hovers at 11% Remember Jarrod Washburn?

I'm going to divide this into two categories since I don't think you can fairly compare pitching stats from the different leagues.

NL - Braves lead the NL with a 3.65 fielding independent ERA

AL - Red Sox lead the AL with a 4.06 fielding indepdent ERA (without Matsuzaka most of the year)

Yankees starters only have 61 wins this year. The rest of the tab was picked up by their bullpen.
