How good do you think Beasly can be? He will be a good scorer and rebounder but he doesn't know how to pass yet...any player come in mind for comparison sake? Share your thoughts...

I personally think he has the makings of a Karl Malone...

24/10

Boozer with range

He's up to 240-245 lbs, I see prime playing weight around 255lbs.

Very good potential.

He'll never realize it though.

I think he'll be a stat stuffer but I doubt he'll be someone you can depend on to win important games.

I agree. He'll be an elite offensive big man (if he ultimately ends up being a PF), but he's never going to be a #1 option simply because he doesn't have the alpha dog in him to be that guy.

what really has michael beasley done that makes people say that he will never reach his full potential. so he smokes a clip now n then...so what 60 percent of the nba does that. its not like he has a drug PROBLEM. if he did do you think he could he could survive an entire year of random testing. i personally am against drugs but i dont see it as a major problem either.

as for comparisons sake..at best i see him as a chris webber type player. hes started out just like he did...big enough to play power foward however his outside game and ambidexterity allows him to play like a small foward. early on in webbers career he shyed away from post moves and eventually developed them later on. i think if michael beasley can do that hell be quite successful . At worst i see him as an antawn jamison. he can definatly put up pints and grab rebounds...however his defense is suspect. i, along with everyone else expect a breakout year from him.

Beasley is a guy that really needs to build on his game from scratch. Last year with the no.2 pick everyone got high hopes and it got to his head. He even started yapping to the media that he was shooting for an MVP season. LOL.

Now that he knows his level of play needs to rise significantly to become a player worthy of a number 2 pick, I hope reality has sunk in. He needs to keep working to become great, and not sulk and underachieve when things don't go his way.

Where it stands now, he could be a Tim Thomas or a Carmelo Anthony. It's still very questionable wether he will become an elite player.

Beasley will be the next chris bosh but with better handles and more size... but at the same time he is going to have more mental problems as well... So like AI & JR Smith's mentality with Chris Bosh skills

Beasley as a starter in Miami averaged 24 and 12. Ive seen games last season were he flat out took over and he was 19. In the next 2 years expect him to average up to 25 a game and hes much better at rebounding then people give him credit for. Since the 04 draft theres 3 names that come to mind that could one day average 30 a night. Durant, Beasley and Mayo are 3 players that could flat out score. Its sad that Beasley is the Heats second best scorer playing 25 mins of the bench. I believe if he gets minutes next year hes going to flat out stun the haters and Bulls fans.

He's getting minutes this year. Riley and Spoelstra said he's getting a bigger role

Basically put up 15/6 in 25 minutes post ASB last year

If he can pull his head out of his *** he will be fine. He could be a head case his whole career or it could be a non-issue, if it's the latter he will be a solid player for years to come, if not get ready for disappointment Miami.

If he pulls himself together he will easly avergae 25/10 the guy has hof tallent its just gonna be up to him if he takes advantage of it because he showed at times the ability as a rookie to dominate

The last month of the season he started since haslem was hurt...he averaged 21 ppg and 10 rpg...as a rookie...he has the ptoential to be a superstar as long as he listens to defense from wade, ZO, and riley...he can def be a Bosh type of player if he stays at pf, or a melo type of playr at sf

Antawn Jamison with less rebounding.

What kind of player he'll be is anybody's guess......it's up to him. His potential is through the roof though. As far as his offensive skills go, I personally think he's more talented than a lot of the players being mentioned.

And to make a prediction....if Beasley get's starter minutes, I see him as a possible MIP candidate.
