AI on the second team?

He hasn't been relevant in the second half of this decade... Chauncey should be in his place.

Chauncey wasn't relevant the first half of the decade. Wasn't even an allstar until 2006.

I knew the Spurs would be the best team of the decade. Take you homer Laker fans.

There are a few games that come to mind that i thought was better.

This might sound like a homer pick but i would have picked mitch kupchick, just because of the gasol trade :laugh2:

unforgettable. a 20+ point comeback win in the NBA Finals on the road against the Lakers, led by 2 of the most underratted players of the decade in Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. 2 stars who have had lost careers put a stamp on their careers. no one thought they would ever be on the same team. Classic.

Agreed. Even though it was rigged, I still think that Spurs-Suns series when Amare was suspended and Nash got his nose broken was the best series I saw in the whole decade. Almost any one of those games was the game of the decade IMO, but that's purely subjective.

Its all a matter of opinion. This list means nothing to most NBA fans.

Team of the decade is clearly not the Spurs.

Seems reasonable enough. Personally think Duncan and Kobe should be recognized as Co-best players of the decade, and the Spurs/Lakers should share best team.

Really? The season before he got traded to Detroit (and blamed for Dumars mistakes) he was third in the league in scoring behind Kobe and LeBron at 27ppg. Wake up bud.

I completely and utterly disagree about the Team of the Decade and the Game of the Decade as well as the Executive of the Decade (Spurs GM, RC Buford easily).

No Jason Kidd is an absolute laughable list. He's the best PG of the decade, the whole decade mind you, and hes not on either team. Complete ****ing joke.

change that game of the decade and make Gm and it sounds about right. I thought game 7 lakers vs. kings 2002 was better

Lakers-Kings
Spurs-Suns was also huge a couple of years ago. The game where Nash got his nose broken. Anyone who says the Spurs are boring didn't watch that series. And I'm a Suns fan.

Ya, LA vs. Boston was not game of the decade.

Ya, LA vs. Boston was not game of the decade.

For Laker fans maybe, just like Pistons-Lakers in 2004 would have been big for Pistons fans. But LA-Boston was a huge dud if you ask me. Even last year's final was not that interesting, except for the fans of the winning team. That's fine, they deserve to be excited about their own team, but best game of the decade should be a great game for anyone.

Derek Fisher .4 second shot had to be the game of the decade. Duncans 'buzzer beater' followed by a shot that was deemed impossible was freakin amazing. I believe it was a series changing game 5 too and was probably the main reason the Spurs didn't 3 peat

I have to admit that Spurs-Suns series was probally the best series, but the Spurs were still boring. The Suns were so fun to watch (even though they beat the Lakers :( ).

Jason Kidd should atleast be on the second team

He was better in this decade than Steve NAsh IMO.... 05-07 were the only actual GREAT years by Steve Nash and HE DID NOT DESERVE THE MVP IN 06.... Jason Kidd has been to the Finals twice and had triple double mania.... ITs close but I thiink he should be there and also AI has been great this decade last season was his first bad season of the decade.

Even though I'm a Suns fan I could see that the Spurs were matching them basket for basket right through the game. There wasn't as much between the two teams as people like to say. The Suns could score at will on the Spurs, and vice versa, no matter who was supposed to be the offensive team and who was supposed to be the defensive team. And they both played just enough D to keep it close. The lead changed hands about 50 times.

game of decade shouldve been lakers-kings game 4 2002 WCF or lakers-blazers game 7 2000 WCF. Or Spurs-Mavs Game 7 2006 Semis
