Tracy McGrady has to be pretty high on that list.

Other CURRENT players include: Marcus Camby, Shaq, Gerald Wallace, AK47, Jermaine O'Neal, Corey Maggette, Larry Hughes.

And #1 has to be Grant Hill.

He said ALL TIME so you gotta go in the archives and get names like Bill Walton, and bust because of injuries like Sam Boughie. Im just too young to remember and refuse to do that type of work soooo...

Grant Hill, Penny, T-Mac (hmm Penny is his idol), Vince Carter, Jermaine O'Neal, Vin Baker, Yao Ming... Even Antonio McDyess, member, he was a Franchise player before his injuries, he was just like amare stoudamire, luckily he turned out to be a good role player

Greg Oden was never a star player... Yes, he had a lot of hype but never a star player. He may be a bust yeah, but he doesnt fall into this category

greg oden had to have set some kind of record to miss his whole rookie season, only to come back the following year to get injured and miss a third of the season.

jermain oniels " i promice to return to my old self, i feel completly healthy and this is my 2nd coming" promices were pretty funny since he still hasnt play 50 games in a season in over 3-4 seasons.

gilbert - gilberts been injured for a while now.

T-mac = mr glass

yao- I guess its tuff to stay healthy when your 7'6

grant hill

chris webber

All time: Grant Hill - missed an entire season once

More recently: Gilbert Arenas - only 15 games played in the past two years

Notable: Dwyane Wade - hasn't played a full season in his entire career yet

You guys are all wrong. #1 by a long shot is Allan Houston. Signed a 6 yr MAX contract extension in 2001 and played in only 70 games in that time span. Did I say MAX? That's todays history lesson guys.

in no real order the first players that come to mind are baron davis, chris webber, penny, t-mac, yao ming, peja, grant hill. i think arenas has a chance to return in good form so i'm hesitant to put him on the list. bobby hurley? lol

McGrady, Jermaine, Hill basically everyone has been named. I'd throw in Kenyon Martin.

Man of all-time Number 1 has to be Danny Manning.

-Penny Hardaway
-Sean Elliot was ridiculously good after his injuries, before he was a beast.
-Sabonis was considered to be one of the best in the world before his injuries, some people thought he would've dominated the NBA in the early 90s/late 80s.
-Grant Hill for sure too, the guy IMO would be one of the top 15-20 all time before his injury. Could do it all, and was a high flyer.

mmm i just remembered Bobby Hurley and Jason Williams (bulls)

I have to add Connie Hawkins to the list. there was a bigger story that kept him out of nba but when he could join, he started getting injured.

Grant Hill may very well have become a top 10 player ever had he stayed healthy. He was absolutely awesome early in his career.
Penny Hardaway, Bill Walton, Jamal Mashburn, come to mind.
Vince Carter? He had a couple of season about 6 years ago he was hurt, but he has been healthy and upright for the last 6 years. I think his problems come from lack of fire.

Hawkeye15
09-24-2009, 12:12 AM
Len Bias the mother of all injuries.

A) does he count? Never played a game
B) Is dying of a coke overdose an injury?

wrong thread, but absolutely correct. That gambling sham was a total shame.

Magic Johnson being forced to retire at 31/32 because of HIV could be considered an injury; a career ending injury, coming off 19ppg, 12.5apg, and 7 rpg the season before.

yeah i think mcdyess wouldve been a stud if not for the injuries.

A lot of these names have been said and are recent players but my list:

Grant hill. Was on his way to being a HOF for sure in my opinion (Mr. Triple double before Kidd took that title from him)

Penny hardaway. Was awesome when healthy had a lot of potential not quite as good as hill but had a huge upside.

Tmac. full of potential but I think he is done and his best years are way behind him

Yao. Unsure whether he will ever be dominant pays the price for being 7'6"

Gilbert arenas. 1 more knee injury could make his contract one of the worst deals ever.

Chris webber. He managed to play well even after he lost his ups but what could of been

Alan houston. For reasons someone explained already

Kenyon Martin. This guy had a huge upside before micro fracture surgery and in my opinion has done well to recover.

Carlos boozer. He cant stay healthy for a whole season. He is always recovering

Peja. Lights out shooter not quite a star but could of been
