This is not a hate thread but I was just wondering if LeBron did try to imitate what Kobe's great performance of 61 points. LeBron, on the other hand, scored 50, but he wasn't getting MVP chants. It kept me thinking why LeBron did almost the same thing... any opinions?

So he wants to be Kobe because they both scored a lot of points against a bad defensive team?

Keep in mind that LBJ averaged more ppg than Kobe. So he is expected to score high point totals as well.

This is like saying Kobe wants to be MJ because he scored a lot of points at MSG after Jordan already did it.

Well, maybe people weren't as thrilled to see LBJ's performance, because a few nights ago, they already saw Kobe.

Why did he do that? Simple, because MSG is a huge stage where players aim to dominate to get more recognition. Kobe put up 61, and LBJ didn't want to look inferior, so he put up 50 and almost a triple double. The fact that the Knicks have no defense didn't make it that hard for both of them.

after watching kobe drop 61, it isnt as empressive to watch lebron drop 50...

11 points is alot in an nba game.

well... Lebron have always loved to play in MSG and has always played well in there.

Thats why he should go to New york in next free agent tour.

It was impressive that he grabbed 10 boards and 9 assists along with the 50 points. Lebron had a more complete game then Kobe they were both impressive

Kobe was cheered for because NY had no Answers for him. We put Wilson, and everybody on him and he still went off on us. LeBron got an impressive stat line but NY was in the game for the majority of the game because of it. I'm not saying he was stat filling but I got the feeling he was trying to out do Kobe in a statistic way.

Another Lebron-bashing thread, we all know Lebron does some immature things, but that's because he is still young, give him some time.

I wasn't bashing on him and I wasn't saying he was immature, I was just wondering if it was coincidence or not.

Well then no, it was not a coincidence, he was trying to have a great game like Kobe and put on a show, which he did.

Lebron is only 24, alot of people forget that, he's made some bad decisions, especially of late, playing on a team where your say always goes doesn't help either. Give it some time, he is still young.
