I wish our GM would grow some balls and offer Boozer for Monta. Gives you a big that you need and an expiring and gives us some young talent. Monta+Deron at the back is quite sexy

Utahs back court would be really nice if they get Monte Ellis no doubt, but getting boozer in Goldenstate would mean that Anthony Randolph wont get to start and i really wanna see him start

That link was confusing...
All I see is Monta goes somewhere(idk where) Dampier and bobcats 1st to the warriors

anyone wanna fill me out?

Mavs wudnt trade their only C would they?

and y'all say how Booz is injured all the time lol, I'm sure Randolph will get as much minutes as he needs. Seriously though if you want to get out of his contract so much, theres no better available expiring than Boozers

No, you read it wrong. It was talking about Dampier's past, not him being a part of the rumored trade. His instant expiring is way more valuable to us for the upcoming season than anyone Golden State or Charlotte has to offer.

Monta Ellis goes to Charlotte; Golden State receives Maverick expirings based around Greg Buckner and a 1st from Charlotte; Charlotte sends Dallas something (My guess is Raja Bell and Mohammed).

Good deal for all 3 teams.

Doesn't sound like a good deal at all! Monts Ellis to the Charlotte is a bad thing, IMO! God, what's with the Bay Area's management in every sports category lately (49er's, giants, raiders, warriors, pretty bad as a whole!

They traded a 24yr old up and coming point guard and parts for an old Jason Kidd!

I'm still not clear on who gets what. Sounds like Ellis to Charlotte. And a first goes somewhere, but the article is way to unclear to have any real significance.

Can somebody explain "the buck shot" concept? Why would the other team (in a trade scenerio) only pay $1 mil this season?

Greg Buckner's contract is just a slightly smaller version of Stackhouse's. By getting him included, as they used their Stack Chip they were getting back The Buck Shot to replace it. With Stack's contract they were able to potentially instant-erase up to $7.1 million in salary; with Buckner's contract they can take back up to $5.1 million in salary and the other team can erase it by paying only $1 million this season, instantly saving them $4.1 million off their payroll and salary cap.

The Buck Shot is the market’s one-of-a-kind instant-payroll reducer. Buckner has a 4 million dollar contract but can be bought out instantly for only 1 million.

Monta to Charlotte is really interesting, especially since Charlotte claims to want to save money in the future. That would essentially negate the financial relief the Emeka/Chandler trade did for them

Makes no sense for GS to trade Monta for a 1st rounder. What about Jackson's/Corey's contract albatross?

Dallas is already set so I don't see why they would be involved.

Seems like its just a trade for the sake of a trade/shake-up. Is GS rebuilding?

Thanks.. so his contract is the only one in the league with a specified buy out price written into it? Nice... but weird since Buckner has a player option next year. That buy out price really puts him out of a lot of money.

The Knick's Mobley contract is 80% insured so that's kind of similar.

i hope its for tyson chandler and not a 1st round crap pick. whos the top ten players coming out next year? Unless theres a blake griffin, i dont want a 1st round pick. That would be funny if that first round pick became a low one in the 20's, because Ellis gets the Bobcats deep into the playoffs....LOL..oh my my..the warriors..LOL

If Charlotte just has to get rid of a 1st and maybe Nazr and Bell, it's worth it. You have your future, and it fixes the scoring. It removes Nazr's contract which would help them reduce some payroll. He'd be a star in NC.

From my understanding this is the rumor.

To Dallas:
Raja Bell
Nazr Mohammed

To Charlotte:
Monta Ellis

To Golden State:
Buckner
Humphries
Wiliams
Charlotte 1st

I love how they make fun of the Bobcats in the article, when the Bobcats are superior to the Warriors. I don't think its a guaranteed "top pick", and especially not if the Bobcats get Monta for peanuts. However, if this leads to us letting Felton walk, its a stupid deal.

Would you really want to give boozer up for a guy that stupidly risks his health and violates his contract? What in the hell are we going to do with 4 PG's ?

Is this why Felton isn't re-signed yet? Are they trying to get Ellis?
