Swoop posted this link in a thread about a week ago. I thought I'd re-post it now, seeing as it confirms just how many GENERAL MANAGERS other than Colangelo also thought that Bargnani was going to be the best of his rookie class 5 years after being drafted.

GM Survey: Rookies, Defense, International

The question based on what ink posted is > what kind of stats would Bargs need to get next year to justify that (or at least be considered)?

I think he's an 18/19 PPG and 6.5 RPG player. The point of re-posting the link was to show that almost 1/4 of NBA GMs also thought that Bargnani was going to be the best prospect from his draft class. Colangelo did not pick eccentrically or irresponsibly. There were other GMs who were just as convinced that Andrea was going to be good. If he only plays like last year for the rest of his career he's already a pretty good pick. I don't give a crap about what a #1 is "supposed" to do. I only care about his contribution to the team, which is already substantial.

Thanks Ink :).

23/10/3/2 for Bargnani in his 5th season.

Draft hindsight is always 20/20.

most gm's didnt think brandon roy will be this good. even if bargs matches the gm's expectation, he still wont be the best.

bargs will live up to what is expected of him. but roy will probably always be more valuable to his team and a better over all player.

you never know though, bargs can turn in to a super star one day.
