It was 2nd round. So maybe that is why.

That was a great game JB. But that's just a highlight reel made by an Iverson fan. The way that video was put together it doesn't reflect the fact that it was a one point win by the Sixers and it all came down to a missed buzzer beater by Carter. In other words, how could a one point loss look so lopsided? Through fanboy editing that's how. lol.

But Iverson did look pretty amazing.

If Carter made that shot the Raptors could have been so much more.

That was a great series; AI drops 54, VC drops 50, AI drops 52, VC drops 38... It was one-on-one basketball at it's best, sure VC didn't guard AI and AI didn't guard VC, but it was still very entertaining to watch. AI and VC were both such studs back then, that shot could've turned everything around for TO's franchise.

It was 2nd round. So maybe that is why.

Spurs vs Mavs in 2006 was 2nd round. Bulls vs Knicks in 1992 was 2nd round. Lakers vs Rockets in 2009 was 2nd round. Cavs vs Pistons in 2006 was 2nd round. Cavs vs Celtics in 2008 was 2nd round.

the game where carter scored 50 was just absolutely ridiculous...i remember watching that game as a 16 year old kid, witnessing Carter drop 3 after 3...i still truly feel the man had MJ potential, he just couldnt take the next step in his career

Wasn't that the same day that VC flew from his graduation at UNC and flew straight to Philly?

yes one of the most overrated things ever....VC was hated on so much for that when really it was not a big deal at all.

And only a handful of guys have ever scored 50 in the playoffs in regulation.

maybe i am over exagerating when i say this....but their always specific moments in sports when if done differently would have changed things dramatically (ex. Brady's tuck rule game against Oakland). And i think in recent memory this is one of the biggest moments because had VC made that shot....so much would be different now...mainly in Toronto :p

It was the most important game of his life. Management, coaching staff and other players wanted him to be focus on the game and only the game.

Would we even have a chance against the Bucks that year though?

^ we played some intense games against them that year, even though we lost the season series 3-1, the games were all pretty close; i think it would have been another 7 game series...conversely, we beat philly in the season series that year 3-1, but ended up losing in 7
