Was it a blessing in disguise for the Orlando Magic in 2004 when they went 21-61 with a prime T-mac and ended up with the #1 pick and selected Dwight Howard?

Many felt the Magic should have been playoff contenders with a prime T-mac that year and many were disappointed that they didn't make the postseason that year.

don't you mean when David Robinson went out for the year with an injury and the Spurs got to draft Tim Duncan 1 overall?

that's a real blessing in disguise.

Orlando was very very very very close to drafting Okafor in that draft because he played 4 years in college.

It was because of all the injuries.

I think a healthy Hill and Mcgrady would have done wonders.

that is the luck of the draft. Teams that crap out for a year, get a great pick. Spurs got the biggest break I can remember.

Thank god they didn't take Okafor, like one exec said before me Okafor "hasn't added anything to his game since his rookie season" while Dwight gets better year-in, year-out.
