I have decided not to continue my positional overviews because they were taking too much time. However I still plan on posting my top 25 prospects but I still need to study the pitchers so I thought I'd post my top 25 positional prospects. I'm not an expert so these are just my opinion and have no real backing but I thought maybe others would share thier thoughts.

There are some young players who I gave consideration but kept off the list (for now). Mainly Ramon Cabrera - C, Benjamin Gonzalez - SS, Mpho Gift Ngoepe - 2B/SS. Ok so Ngoepe doesnt belong here yet but his strong debut is encouraging.

25. Jeremy Farrell - 3B
24. Jose de los Santos - 2B/SS
23. Andrew Walker - C
22. James Negrych - 2B
21. Kris Watts - C
20. Rogelio Norris - LF
19. Josh Harrison - 2B/3B
18. Calvin Anderson - 1B
17. Wes Freeman - CF
16. Matthew Hauge - 1B/3B
15. Brian Friday - SS
14. Shelby Ford - 2B
13. Jody Mercer - SS
12. Evan Chambers - CF
11. Jarek Cunningham - 3B/SS
10. Quincy Latimore - LF
9. Argenis Diaz - SS
8. Neil Walker - 3B
7. Starling Marte - CF
6. Chase d'Arnaud - SS
5. Robbie Grossman - LF
4. Gorkys Hernandez - CF
3. Tony Sanchez - C
2. Jose Tabata - CF
1. Pedro Alvarez - 1B/3B

look this guy up Jorge Bishop hes 17 in the venzuealen league. plays short, has a good glove. but heres the best part about him he has been compared to jimmy rollins because of his size and how he plays the game with excellent power for a shortstop. hits a homer per 25 at bats if i remember right

We need one more solid infielder...especially at second or short

i have actually briefly heard of the guy but I must say I do not pay much attention to the VSL or DSL. I normally wait for them to come to America before I start following them. But thanks for the input. Any other players you care to add?

eric avilla SS/3B DSL he is like a better brandon wood, hitting 300 and 9 homers in 200 atbats. hes 18

michaelangel trinidad 1B- hitting 320 with 15 homers in 175 atbats. hes almost 21

roberto espinosa and ocar verdugo- basically the same stat line 4-0 sub 3 ERA both have basically 50 innings of work
espinosa= 22 walks to 48 SO
verdugo= 14 BB to 53 SO

also worth of note
jonathon barrios hes only 16 and being compared to hanley ramirez hitting 250 3 homers in 162 at bats. so u must have to see him to see the comparrison??? idk

it might not be before 2012 but barrios and avilla might be more than solid

His agent is waiting for more teams to join in the bidding. It seems he wants to come to Pittsburgh but his agent does not seem as sold on the idea. Last I heard it might be another month before he signs.

Rob Plummer. He has represented quite a few of the top international players. And apparently the time deadline the Pirates gave Sano has passed. They or noone else for that matter has an offer on the table for him. At least I don't think so. They are awaiting his age investigation to be complete.
