Vinny642

im going homer and saying Julian Wright. He never had solid consistent minutes before. Now this year he should start and has potential to be great. Especially with Paul's help.

Mark Blount.

The Heat were so stupid for not using him. He will flourish in Minnesota and go back to his old superstar self.

somebody unexpected

I think Tyrus Thomas fits that bill. Take a look at his numbers for the last 3 months of the season:

35 Games - 32 MPG - 13.1 PPG - 7.6 RPG - 2.1 BPG - 47% FG

If he improves slightly on those numbers for the whole season, I see him getting 15 PPG - 9 RPG - 3 BPG which is good enough to win most improved on his 10.9 PPG - 6.5 RPG - 1.9 BPG last year.

Gilbert Arenas, maybe?
Greg Oden, maybe?

Can a player really win the award after playing only 2 games the year before? Also, if he does win it, he'd be the first to win the award twice.

Wouldn't it be funny if the second time around that he wins the award, his stats are actually lower than the first time he won it.. that would be something lol. So much for improvement, hahaha

Let me rephrase that....

It NEEDS to be Beasley for our sake. I'm expecting big things from this kid.

Injured and with limited minutes he showed a lot of talent. This year hes healthy and has some time to develop with the team.

Erick Dampier - He knows whichever team he gets on after this year will cut his lame @$$ and he'll need to spend another 43958945 years in the NBA to make close to the amount he is getting in this season alone.

I predict: 63% FG, 60% FT, 9 rpg, 1 apg, 2 bpg, .5 spg, 9 ppg in 25 minutes.

Okay, maybe not the biggest improvement, I just wanted to bash on him...

The only possible improvement I can see Bynum making is the number of games he's going to miss on yet another "freak accident."

Brook Lopez
or
DJ Augustine

Brook Lopez is my favorite center (I didn't say most talented) in the NBA right now. Having said that, there is no way Brook Lopez will win the award, even with Carter going to the Magic. He shot 53% FG and close to 80% FT with 1.8 bpg, 8 rpg, and 13 ppg. In order to "improve," he would need to score about 22 ppg, 3 bpg, 10 rpg, 1 spg, and shooting at about the same efficiency. His rookie numbers, in my opinion, were more significant than Derrick Rose's, not to mention Rose played 7 minutes more. Too bad Lopez wasn't the number 1 draft pick and didn't get hyped up the @$$, he deserved to be rookie of the year. I even think Love was more deserving than Rose. Nothing against him, he didn't do anything wrong, it's the people that over-hype him. (yes I watched the playoffs, it had no weight in rookie of the year)

Lou Williams or Allen Iverson

I think Lou Williams because we all know he can score, but he'll be getting his first start in 5 seasons. His minutes will be up and his production jump greatly.

AI only because he was so bad last year....actually he'd be more of a comeback player of the year. So, scratch him.

Lou Will...ftw!!!

Kevin Love
16/11 coming up

With no other option at center, Jefferson will have to slide over for 90% of his minutes. That leaves our boy, Kevin, to get some minutes. McHale won't be holding him back minute wise this year. I give him 15/10 per game.

Kevin Love or Michael Beasley
