FIRST ROUND

Dallas vs Portland
Winner: Vote here!

The total of votes for each team will be counted (all 4 options together) and the team with the higher total wins. Eventually, the result will be the option with the most votes (out of 4 options) of the team that has the most votes altogether.

Example:

If the option which has been voted most out of all 8 in the poll is "Memphis in 6" (20 votes), it doesn't necessarily mean that Memphis has won. If Memphis has 50 votes (Memphis in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), but New Orleans has 55 votes (New Orleans in 4, 5, 6 & 7 altogether), New Orleans is the winner, although it didn't have the most votes in any of its 4 single options. The option with the most votes of the winner (New Orleans) is the final result.

Let's say:
Memphis in 4 = 10 votes
Memphis in 5 = 5 votes
Memphis in 6 = 20 votes
Memphis in 7 = 15 votes
Total = 50 votes

Now lets say New Orleans has
New Orleans in 4 = 12
New Orleans in 5 = 13
New Orleans in 6 = 17
New Orleans in 7 = 13
Total = 55 votes
The winner would be New Orleans in 6 since they would have the most votes total overall and thus the option for them that was voted the most is New Orleans in 6 would become the final result.

Dallas handled Portland pretty easily last year and beat them all 4 times they played, and the Mavs have only gotten better. Yeah Portland added Andre Miller, but that doesn't exactly scare the Mavs I'm sure.

I'm gonna put some faith in the development of Oden and say that his matchup with the 34 year old Dampier proves the hypothetical difference.

Dallas SWEPT Portland last season 0-4 in the regular season and upgraded their roster this year. Dallas in 4.

No. 27 year old Gooden will start at center.

These polls are bogus. More people voted for Dallas to win the series than Portland.

14 votes going to Dallas winning to series and only 11 votes towards Portland

Just because people don't agree in how many games it will take a team to win a series doesn't mean that team will lose the series all together just because there's more single votes for the opposed team in a specific amount of games.

If that makes any sense?

Portland in 6, Dallas is way too overrated.

If the Mavericks end up beating Portland 4 games to 0 in last years regular season, how can you say they are over-rated and your team is not... and how can you even think Porland would beat Dallas in 6 if they couldn't even win once last year?

Do you not watch Portland/Dallas play?

No it doesn't. The results are pretty damn obvious. The team with the most total votes wins, however the team that has the most votes total of the 4 options wins in the # of games of their biggest option.

Rules are already their. If you can't understand that then I can't help you.

Dallas in 6. They had no trouble beating Portland last year and they've improved.

Portland in 7 is the one with the most votes so far. Thats just not gonna happen.

The Blazers couldnt win a game against the Mavs last year.

Some people actually think they can win 4, including a game 7 on the road? You gotta be kidding me.

Portland in 6,
The Blazers used a backup PG as a starter last season and now will have a real PG running the show and watch Roy average 25ppg(could be more but Portland has too much depth and Roy will be able to sit longer with Rudy and Webster)

C Dampier<Oden
PF Dirk>Aldridge
SF Marion= Webster or Batum or Outlaw (Marion is on the downside and any of these 3 are just as easily just as good
SG Howard<<Roy
PG Kidd<Miller (Kidd is a shell of his former self and will average about 6 points a game, he's a has been)
Bench Dallas<<<<<<<<<<<<Portland

Batum,Outlaw,Rudy,Bayless,Blake,Pryzbilla>>>>>Gooden,Terry,Barea,Tim Thomas and whoever else is sittin on the wood!

lol portland, didnt they get eliminated 4-2 by a banged up Houston Rocket's Who never made it to the 2nd round in the past 10-12 yrs, I mean come on Dallas deserves more credit than this. All portland did was added andre miller to there roster so they pretty much have the same team they did last season with a somewhat upgrade at the pg position so pretty much a replay of last post-season 4-2
