The Kings signed Sean May to a one-year, $884,881 deal last month, but a portion of a contract isn't guaranteed.

Sources told the Boston Globe that $100,000 of the deal, which is worth the veteran's minimum for a player with four years of NBA experience, is tied to May's weight.

The former Bobcat will receive the $100,000 if he reports to training camp or begins the season at or below 265 pounds.

Pretty funny if it's true.

That's a come up for May. Probably the easiest $100,000 he ever made if he does it. HAHA

NBA meets The Biggest Loser.. the Kings should have written into his contract that May has to participate in a new summer time reality TV show.

You guys think he'll be able to do it? I mean one pound for $100,000 might not be worth it...

He is at 266 pounds right now. All he has to do is weigh in at 265 pounds by the start of the season and he gets 100 grand. The more weight he loses, the better, but he doesn't get more money. Still, $100,000 seems like a good deal either way.

I'm almost positive May doesn't weigh 266 right now, it was probably taken a few years ago and hasn't been updated since. I believe that last year before the season started, it was reported that May was nearly 300 pounds.

He is more than likely going to buy food with the $100 000 he gets.

Lose1 pounds and use the money to buy Mcdonald's and gain 20 pounds.

Nice idea Kings.

Yes he was, and Larry Brown said he would not see the floor until he got down to 260. He lost about 35 pounds and got down to around 265 but couldn't get to 260, which is why he didn't play much last year.

Exactly. No way that guy is only 266. He's gotta be closing in on 300.

No he isn't.

May displayed three-point range, low-post ability and looked as if he had lost a significant amount of weight since the end of the regular season. May said his weight remains near 260 pounds, but that he has shed four percent of his body fat since the end of the season, his fourth with the Charlotte Bobcats.

That's from his workout a month ago with the Kings.

Wow i'll bet you if people got money for losing weight, no one would be fat lol.

Save cost on food, save cost of medical bills, increase productivity. Lots of people would have more money if they stopped stuffing their faces. That's why the government needs to play a bigger role in taxing the fat people in this country.

Well thanks for clearing that up, though I'm still not sure if I'd believe what Sean May says he ways. I guess the Kings just want to keep him motivated during the summer.

This ticks me off, there are so many kids and unfortunate people in the world that could easily utilize that money in SURVIVING from what they have. this fat **** doesn't even play to his potential and will get paid 100k to lose 1 pound?

This world and corporate America really has ****ed up alot of things. Did you know 500 children can EAT FOR THEIR WHOLE LIFE with 100,000 US Dollars in a rural village in India?

I know this is off topic but this pisses me off.

you know if you disable your internet connection for one year, you can feed one kid for ten years.
or if you cut off your electricity in your house for one day.

how much have you donated? what have you sacrificed for the cause?
