Gilbert Arenas has undergone three knee surgeries in the last eighteen months, but looked close to 100% at Barry Farms Recreational Center on Friday night.

The Washington guard was seen attacking the basket and even dunking effortlessly without wearing a brace on his balky knee.

Arenas has been working out with renowned trainer Tim Grover, who has worked with Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade.

The Washington Post also reports that Arenas has lost weight and that he may even be down to what he was when he entered the league.

Reports indicate that Arenas is close to 207 pounds.

If the Wizards could ever stay healthy for an entire season, they would be dangerous.

Lol who didn't work with Tim Grover this offseason?

I know Wade, JO, Dorell Wright, Arenas, T-Mac all did.

Hopefully all this training and conditioning pays off for Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards.

I dont care about the weight he loses....just about him staying healthy not breaking anything and taking his team to the playoffs...all in 1 season

Get on that court and prove it. Until then he is still an injury prone baby.

Don't get your dicks hard just yet, boys.

This is Gilbert Arenas we are talking about. Staying healthy is not what he does.

Very happy for Agent 0. Love to see him comeback and have a great season. You really don't truly appreciate a player until he's been away from the game for an extended period of time.

thats gilbert arenas of the 08 and 09 seasons with the wizards. you can't forget that he was relatively healthy in his first couple of yr in the league with the warriors and his first couple of seasons with the wizards

i think he should go to the bobcats. reunite with larry brown and gives the offensivly challenged bobcats a scoring punch. he can also teach DJ agustine

I will without a doubt expect a drop off from his game.

You expect a drop-off from 2 games played?
You expect a drop-off from 13 points per game? :eyebrow:
You expect a drop-off from 10 assists per game?

OK. I might buy the last one, but there isn't much room to drop.

What are you expecting? That Arenas will retire?

I think he means a drop-off from "Prime" Arenas.

That happened two years ago. How can a person be anticipating something that has already happened?

I meant to say that.

Again, Arenas dropped off from his prime numbers two seasons ago.

I don't think anyone other than perhaps Arenas himself thinks he can get back to 28 PPG and MVP considerations. That is likely why the Wizards traded for Mike Miller and Randy Foye.

Many people on Pro Sports Daily have been expecting a bounce back year from Gilbert Arenas. I personally believe he is going to turn in below average numbers. However, if Gilbert Arenas does prove to be a healthy player then he could be very solid this upcoming season.

If wizards can stay healty, they will have a chance to take the 4th or 5th seed!

As a Wizards fan I'll **** bricks if Arenas puts up 20 PPG this season, but I am not expecting it. I'd rather he average that 13 and 10 from last season, truthfully.

DCSportsIsPain

The thing is:

Arenas doesn't get paid $16 Million to dunk in pickup games.

I want to know his shot is back. His shooting percentages have been downright atrocious and that has to improve. There are too many good shooters on this Wizards team for Arenas to be a chucker. I'd rather he be a true point guard than a chucker with this team. It has a lot of talent and Arenas doesn't have to carry the team on his back.

thats great news though we have to see if he can stay healthy or not, though he is doing all the right things during the offseason

cant wait to see him play and hopefully knocking down game winner after game winner...though not against the suns!!!
