Which team do you think has the best starting C and backup C duo?

I think the duo of Shaq and Ilgauskis is the best.

Clips will have Kaman and have Camby back him up

Some ideas:

Cleveland: Shaq and Z
Orlando: Dwight and Gortat
Boston: Perk and Sheed
Clippers: Kaman and Camby
Portland: Oden and Pryzbilla

I think its Orlando just because of how far ahead Dwight is, and Gortat's a solid backup. Cleveland and Boston each have versatility at the position with a shooter coming off the bench, but I don't think its enough to overcome two hardnosed, physical, inside presences.

My pick goes to the Orlando Magic.

Dwight Howard as the starting Center and Gortat as the backup Center. I do not think any team can beat that.

It's not asking for 3rd string, just 1st and backup C.

It's Orlando by far.

I'd have to with Cleveland on this one, Howard > Shaq but I think Gortat is vastly overrated and nowhere near Big Z. Orlando is very close second.

I think the Cavs have a better starting C and back-up C than Magic.

They have more versatility. Shaq is still one of, if not the most dominant inside player in the NBA (Dwight is of course extremely dominant but his lack of post moves still hinders his offensive game) and Zydrunas Ilgauskas is one of the best shooting centers in the league and is 7'3". They have a great combination of size and versatility and are a great one-two punch at center.

Having a 7'3 shooting center coming off the bench, who has started the entirety of his career and would start for about half the teams in the NBA, is better than having a defensive specialist who gets the majority of his points from hustle plays (not saying that's bad, just prefer Shaq and Big Z over Dwight and Gortat)

Kind of reasonable but not really you mean to tell me shaq has great post moves? aside from that little 1 handed tear drop looking thingy he seldom uses dwight and him play EXACTLY the same. Shaq is just bigger taller and stronger that is why the rules changed after the 3 peet because all he did was rebound, put back and bully just like the smaller dwight howard does now and I give the free throw advantage to dwight on the flip side shaq is a WWWWAAAAY better passer than dwight no contest. Heavy Flat footed No D Big Z?? I would much rather my center to keep guards away from the rim than being able to make an 18 footer but i guess thats just me call me crazy. lol i think i remember jj reddick dunking on big z. (lol ok i made that up but it's not that farfetched)

i use to like to see Yao Ming back up by a younger Mutumbo when he actually got significant minutes...

But now I am going to have to say Shaq and Ziggy, because Shaq is still a beast and Ziggy has a good soft touch
