In order to get MVP for 2009-2010 what do each of the following players have to do?

Dirk Nowitzki
Dwyane Wade
Lebron James
Kevin Garnett
Tim Duncan
Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Carmelo Anthony
Dwight Howard
Deron Williams
Kevin Durant
Derrick Rose
Chris Bosh
Brandon Roy

Example
I'll use Brandon Roy for example.

If the Blazers win 60 games I think Brandon Roy would win League MVP.

Now what would the guys above have to do to win league mvp next season?

If the Cavs happen to win it all would you consider Shaq as MVP if he put up 20/10 for the season/playoffs?

If Lakers happen to win 70 games and Kobe avg 25pt 7ast 5rbs he should win MVP

D Howard would win if he puts up 30/10 and Magic win the East

If celtics win 60 plus games and kg average 22 10 and again dominates the defensive end, he should win MVP

If the Raptor's win 55 games and Bosh puts up 25ppg, 12rpg and 4apg with 50% field goal percent he should win MVP.

I think basically they just need to be the main guy, and put up good stats, along with having one of the best, if not the best, record in the league.

no dwyane wade??

If Durant slightly improves his all around stats, and becomes a better defender, he will lead the Thunder to the playoffs, thus winning MVP.

MVP recipe (for any player):

- statistical standout in at least 1 or 2 categories overall
- .500+ win percentage

Possessing those statistics alone will generate alot of 'noise' in the league for a player placing them (at least) top 10 in MVP balloting.

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

Rose has no shot at winning the MVP. He's a 2nd year player that isn't the best at his position and doesn't have a great team around him to give him a chance at it, simple as that.

That.

And that he's so far from the caliber of the other guys as a player at this point. Maybe he will be one day, but having him on the same list with the elites is a mistake.

There's a huge dropoff between the second worst player on that list and Rose.

If Cavs have the best record LeBron will win again.

Kobe needs to put up 28-6-5 and have the best record and be the best team.

If the Celtics have the best record I don't see any of them getting it because they are the most team oriented team if that makes sense. se. (66 wins, biggest turnaround and Kobe won it with 58 wins that season, why would they get an MVP two seasons later? Pretty much sums that up.)

Wade - I don't think he will win it because his team is not going to be good enough. Same with Dirk, Durant, Rose, CP3.

Howard - He will win it if the Magic are the best team and he puts up 25pts, 14rbs, 3asts, 3blks a game. 20-14-4 is solid, but not MVP enough for me. Better FT as well and leadership.

I think it is between LeBron and Kobe. Whoever has the better team is going to be the MVP.

HAHAHAHA
Sorry, but they're not even making the playoffs this year.
Once Wade and Stoudamire signs, then all three can fight for MVP

I really only see Lebron and Kobe as the real competition. I feel Wade as a really really close 3rd.

If Cavs have the best record in the NBA and Lebron averages something like 27 7 & 7, then they'll give it to him no matter what.

If the Lakers can win 70 games, and Kobe averages somehting like 27 6 6, they'll give it to him.

If the Heat win atleast 50 games, and Wade has numbers like 32 6 7, then he should get it.
