thats a joke in my opinion. Pau and Yao? Yes they are good shooters for big men, but i could name a bunch of players id rather have shooting the ball then them. I dont even think they are the best shooting big men either..just my opinion though

Love the Steve Nash props. One of best shooting PGs ever...not to mention his passing. His 53.2%, 45.5% from three year is insane for a PG.

Don't mind the Pau and Yao references, but I think a separate big man list is needed, because obviously there are a lot better shooters out there than those two.

Agreed x2

Where is Rashard Lewis on this list? he avgs the most 3s per game and shoots em at 40%, that's higher percentage than Pau, Yao, Nowitzki and Bryant on this list and he makes more total and per game than all 10 of them. Only guy to make over 200 three pointers this season (Shard hit 220 at 2.8 per game, next closest was Ray Allen at 199, 2.4 per game)

Versatility is key. That's why you don't see 3-point specialists like Jason Kapono and Kyle Korver, or even a great midrange shooter like Richard Hamilton

Under strong consideration, but missing the cut, were Carmelo Anthony, Andrea Bargnani, Chauncey Billups, Danny Granger, Rashard Lewis, Kevin Martin, Troy Murphy, Mehmet Okur, Paul Pierce, Michael Redd, Brandon Roy and Jason Terry.

Eliminate the best pure shooters in the game.
All credibility is lost.

Not to be a homer but Bosh is a way better overall shooter for a big man than Gasol.

Put in Morrow and Lewis. Take-out Pau Gasol and Yao Ming. Then you got a list.

Good to see Jose getting respect, his percentages speak for themselves :).

LOL, believe me, I had the same reaction as everybody that read the list. That's why I had to put it up and see if ANYBODY agreed with the list. If Gasol is in the list, then where the hell is Okur?

Anyway, worst list I've seen. I think we had a poll on top shooters and I think we have better judgement than whoever made that list LOL.

How? He shoots 50% from the field, 40% from the arc, and is automatic at the charity stripe.

Steve Nash above Ray Allen wtf? And to you guys saying Bargnani should be up there, Okur has better 3pt%.

so beacuse ray allen shoots a bunch of open 3's every game, he should be number 1???

nash creates his own shots and has shot 50/40/90 3 years ina row, he is undoubtly the best shooter in the game

they some how forgot about

kapono
korver
turk
bargs
reshard lewis
paul pierce
kevin durant
chris paul
brandon roy
the list can go on and on,

i think they went by field goal % maybe ?? because all those guys are better shooters then gasol and yao...

yeah the person who wrote this really knew what they were talking about
yao and gasol ARE good shooters 5-10 feet away from the net.

Raps08-09 Champ
08-11-2009, 12:52 AM
I think the fact that Ray Allen has been shooting a lot of bricks in games lately affected his spot at 1. He has had so much bad games in the playoffs and season that it wasn't even funny.

Jameer Nelson shot 50+% from the field, 45+% from the arc and 89% from the charity stripe so what's he? 1A? He isn't even on this list, but yes I agree Nash is either #1 or #2

Mile High Champ
08-11-2009, 01:25 AM
Jose Calderon please, life time .500 FG% and of course shot 98% frome the charity stripe last year.. haha Gasol, Durant, Mo williams.. too funny!

There are threads and threads and threads about OVERHYPED players getting more HYPE.

You can say all that "dont post in here than" nonsense, but stop the overhype madness people, seriously.

Yeah people are seriously complete BS. He remained on the Bucks and he doesn't get mentioned in any talk at all. Now he's an top 10 shooter, top 5 point guard, top 25 player in the NBA. It's not just Mo Williams either, people need to open their eyes to more than the hype.

HMMMMM weres micheal redd, c-bill, and just some random guy kyle korver. i mean pau is a solid shooter but i thought shooter ment if you leave them open anywhere ur dead. i think allen and nash are pure shooter while kobe is a a pick and choose shooter.

The Lakers are extremely lucky Jameer ended up getting injured mid-season. If dude comes back fully healthy this season, David Stern should just hand Orlando it's Nba Championship right now :P.
