2008-2009 PSD Champion - Link (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=272189)

It is about that time now. We have tried to do this the past 2 seasons. We know things will constantly change but this process takes over a month to complete so it will help us in waiting on the season to begin where we as a forum vote on who will be ranked where, etc.

#1 Seed 2008-2009 Season - Example (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258909)
#1 vs #8 seed in 2008-2009 Season - PSD Voting - Example (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262911)

With that in mind, who will be the #1 seed in the Western Conference for the 2009-2010 Season?

NOTE: I will do the Eastern Conference, but it is a lot to do both east and west for this. If someone else wants to follow the same format for the west as I do for the east then that would be fine.

And I repeat do not post this in your forum trying to get more votes.

Lakers have the most talent in the league and they should take the #1 seed, but once you are a champion the top seed isn't as important. They got the #1 seed last year in case they met Boston they wanted HCA. This year I can see the Lakers slacking off a little to just wait for the playoffs.

I think San Antonio or Dallas has a good chance to get the #1 seed.

I picked Portland! LOL... Just being a homer for now, hoping they can pull it off and tell you guys I told you so... That's going to be a year from now so right now, I'll just settle for some hardcore bashing... LMAO

It should be interesting. Like you said, the Lakers won't value home court quite as much, and they may also look into resting Kobe and Pau more, which could cost us a win here and there.

On the other hand, Bynum should do fine in a healthy season, and Ron and Lamar should be able to pick up the slack if need be.

I won't bash you Ragee. Portland recorded 54 wins last season, and there's still growing to be done. Brandon Roy is 25, Greg Oden is 21, LaMarcus Aldridge is 24, and Rudy Fernandez 24, just to name a few.

It would be somewhat of an upset if they got the top seed, but I wouldn't be entirely suprised...

One for Sacramento and Golden State too.

Lakers definitely should be considered front runner. I can understand votes for Spurs too.

Lakers. They were first last year, and they kept Odom while replacing Ariza with Artest.
I think Spurs are going to be resting DUncan & Manu often this season, so i cant c them 1st.
I dont think Denver has it in them to win 55+ wins.
Portland & Dallas wont be able to beat off the Lakers, not going to happen.

Dallas will be a 3rd seed and 2nd seed if San Antonio isn't healthy like last year

1. LA
2. San Antonio
3. Dallas
4. Portland
5. Denver
6. New Orleans
7. Utah
8. Phoenix

The Lakers. I don't think they'll win as many games as they won last year with the West getting even tougher this summer. But they're still the top team in the Western Conference in my book.

Lakers pretty much have the same core as of last years, I don't think losing Ariza and adding Artest would affect them so much, although there's a chance that Ron Artest might become a crash, wich I don't believe. Plus the Spurs really haven't ever been a great regular season team IMO.
As the poll seems to be a no contest.
