Free agent Linas Kleiza has agreed to a two-year, $12.2 million contract with the Greek team Olympiakos, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Kleiza will make considerably more than he would have in the NBA, and this deal is even richer than what Olympiakos reportedly offered Nate Robinson and Allen Iverson (two years, $10 million). Kleiza can opt-out next summer, should he choose to return to the NBA.

Can't believe no team offered him the MLE, he's a solid player.

He's a good player. Not worth the entire MLE though.

In any case, hopefully he becomes a star or major player over there.

Good luck to him in Olympiakos.

good offensive player, doesnt guard either forward position well, and he's inconsistent. That's the reason he didn't get the money he wanted over here

The Nuggets simply didn't have the minutes to give him.

i remember last year at this time there were all these threads about European teams signing NBA players and the possibility of them grabbing the top tier players from the nba.
That topics pretty much died.
Most american players (and even some european and other international players) have tried to make a return to the nba after a year in europe.
Only reason to go there is for the money but even that isn't guaranteed some of the times.

Olympiacos has also offered Allen Iverson a contract.

Also joining Kleiza on Olympiacos according to Eurobasket.com is Von Wafer. Wafer, also a former Nugget, had a breakout season for the Rockets last year in which he averaged a career-high nine points a contest. However, the Rockets decided not to re-sign Wafer after obtaining Jermaine Taylor and Chase Budinger in the draft.

Olympiakos should play an exhibition vs some NBA teams. Josh childress, Von wafer and lomas kleiza should wreck it up in Europe. Do they ever play panthiakos cause they have vspan and Nick calathes so that'd be a good game.

I find it funny that Klieza got offered more than AI. Love it.

Not at all. Klieza's offensive game is far superior to Afflalos

Jones and Kleiza were both underrated players. I don't think Denver gets HCA in the first round next season. They also can't afford to lose anyone to injury:
C Nene/Andersen
PF: Martin/Andersen
SF: Anthony/Balkman
SG: Smith/Afflalo
PG: Billups/Lawson

If anyone goes down in their rotation, they can't fill in for the absence... and these are not the healthiest guys historically. Losing Kleiza, Jones and Chauncey Billups starting the season at 33 y/o, I think Denver will be in the 5-7 seed area. They certainly won't be the 3 seed again.

^ I doubt Chauncey Billups will be slowing down anytime next year.

Wut is wrong with the Nugz?? They lost Dahntay and Linas now, Afflalo pretty much replaced Jones, but Balkman is going to be Kleiza's replacement. That bench is really weak, IMO, the Blazers & Mavs are both better than them now. If JR gets injured or Melo gets suspended or something, that is going to be a weak team, a wing back-up of Afflalo and Balkman is just not good enough, especially in the competitive West.

Balkman is better
