Thunder AND Warriors both better than Phoenix?
We're not talking what's the realistic potential for how good these teams will be.
I have a hard time believing the season will start with the Suns that low.

Staying away from predicting the east.
1)Lakers 65-17 (Very solid team, gotta give em some respect)
2)Blazers 58-24 (really shouldnt be a surprise, especially with any improvement by Oden & Aldridge)
3)Spurs 57-25 (not as scary as some think)
4)Nuggets 56-26 ( Dangerous playoff team with Melo&Billups)
5)Mavs 53-29 (about what most non Mavs fans thought)
6)Jazz 51-31 (next yr they will be better)
7)Hornets 51-31 (1st rd & out )
8)Clippers 47-35 (Griffin and Gordon shine, Baron and Camby keep it together, good future with G&G)

9)Rockets 45-37 (with TMac)
10)GSW 43-39 (Randolph shines)
11)Suns 42-40 (injuries and trade rumors kill season)
12)Thunder 39-43 ( next yr they'll be in playoffs)

These seeds dont mean I expect Portland is a better playoff team than anyone but they are definitely gonna be good all season with their depth and young talent and will be better prepared to move to the 2nd rd this yr or beyond.

Eastern Conference:
1. Orlando (EC defending champs just got deeper, chemistry will be key)
2. Boston (Will rest aging stars a lot during the season due to fear of health/injuries)
3. Cleveland (With the addition of Shaq, uncertain whether this team is better or worse)
4. Atlanta (Young team, with core returning to get better and better)
5. Washington (With Arenas at full health and now very deep, this team should do well)
6. Chicago (Loss of best scorer Ben Gordon will cost them, but Rose's improvement will put them right back in it)
7. Miami (With Wade unhappy about carrying so much of the load and now losing Moon to further complicate things, Miami will likely be pushed around a bit in the East)
8. Detriot (The addition of Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva, hard to tell if they are better or just different)
9. Toronto (The team looks good on paper, but the Canadians always find ways to mess things up)
10. Philadelphia (With teams like Washington, Detriot and Toronto getting better someone will be forced out)
11. Milwaukee (With the addition of Brandon Jennings and Michael Redd's return it will be interesting to see how they fair)
12. Charlotte (Strong coach but the thing that wins games in the end is still points, which the Cats still can't do)
13. Indiana (Granger will have another good season, but this team is still stuck and don't look like their going anywhere soon)
14. New Jersey (After losing their leader, this young team lacks the necessary veteran experience to take them anywhere besides the lottery)
15. New York (Getting a pissed of David Lee and Nate Robinson back still won't change things in the big apple)

Western Conference:
1. Los Angeles Ls (NBA's defending champs, interesting how Artest fairs compared to Ariza)
2. San Antonio (With the addition of McDyess and Jefferson and with Ginobli healthy this team may just snatch the West title from the Lakeshow)
3. Denver (Good team, losing Dahntay Jones, possibly Anthony Carter and Lindas Kleiza will hurt them)
4. Dallas (Not sure that Marion will put them over-the-top, but he should help push them in the right direction)
5. Portland (Brandon Roy, Lamarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden's improvement will be a difference-maker for this team, Miller should help a bit)
6. Utah (A half-a$s Carlos Boozer won't cut it, if he's traded expect Deron Williams to have a breakout season)
7. New Orleans (Chris Paul will drag them to the playoffs Okafor, if healthy, should help, but just barely)
8. Pheonix (With the loss of Shaq, the Suns should thrive again in their run-and-gun style)
9. Oklahoma City (Durantula will lead the league in scoring, while they push to get into the playoffs falling just short)
10. Los Angeles Cs (The addition of Griffin and subtraction of Randolph will help put this team on pace to play real basketball)
11. Golden State (Monte Ellis' healthy after injury will be questionable, having 5+ guards playing one position may ruin team chemistry)
12. Houston (With the loss of Yao and Artest and with Ariza and Tmac's abilities still in question, this team will likely struggle this season)
13. Memphis (Adding Randolph has "bad idea" written all over it, Randolph, Mayo, Gay and only one ball... hmm)
14. Minnesota (Losing their best player in Foye and streakiest shooter in Miller will cost them)
15. Sacremento (Meh)

Sixers lost Andre Miller, now they are extremely weak at the point, not to mention Toronto and Detroit have both gotten stronger (on paper atleast)

What happened last season? No Hedo = 13th place, don't tell me Derozen for Marion would push you up 5 spots. Raps are in 9th imo because they always find a way to mess things up no matter how good they look on paper

So we screwed up 3 years ago when Bosh and Jose led us to the Atlantic Division title. We have a much better lineup now then we did then.

You don't have to be bitter that we have Turk now.

sixers lost miller... which was their ring leader will be interesting but they are in the race for last in the east with the nets knicks and bucks

So we screwed up 3 years ago when Bosh and Jose led us to the Atlantic Division title. We have a much better lineup now then we did then.

You don't have to be bitter that we have Turk now.

LMAO I'm not bitter, I'll take VC over Turk any day of the week, just tell me when and where. Ye 3 years ago you won the weak atlantic division and what happened in the playoffs?? Hmm I wonder, oh yeah the same VC that took you to the furthest you'd ever been (2nd round) eliminated you and stopped you from getting there again, yeah you really got me with that one.

Added: Btw your lineup now is barely stronger and not as deep and the East has gotten alot more competitive since 2006-07

Injuries are no excuse, if one guy is injured the franchise should do what is necessary to fill the void (ie. Jameer Nelson out, Rafer Alston in). Coaching changes only happen when a coach is not doing his job properly or when mgmt gets tired of seeing the same losing outcome year-in, year out so that's no excuse. Dwight struggled in the Finals because he was the only big guarding both Gasol and Bynum effectively, while the Lakers double and triple teamed him. Take your own advice and do some research before talking about another team.

Btw I have a home in TO also and I know that they are a worthless team so I never go to watch their games. Now let me ask you a question since VC left your lame excuse of a franchise, how far has your team gotten? first round? lol don't compare your less-than college level team to the Magic. My primary home is in Orlando and I go to Magic games, I haven't been to a Raps game since VC missed the gamewinner vs AI in the 2001 Playoffs and since they never got past the 1st round again, I'm happy I didn't bother wasting my time.

He's gonna see what happens this upcoming season to finalize his plans and get a one-way ticket anywhere as long as it is out of Toronto. Anyways, Bulls too high, Pistons too high.

Raptors/Wizards too low.

7. Toronto
8. Philly
9. Chicago

just my opinion obviously, don't see how Chicago gets much better by losing their best player, also don't like Detroit going for two no-defense guys, but they have a shot at the playoffs if Ben and Kwame can bring the D.

I guess your GM shoulda' filled the void before the playoffs started.

Yeah he should've, that was his mistake, one of very few mistakes he makes. I'll admit if Otis makes a mistake, ie. when he signed Shard to a max contract two years ago, but look at the results. This off season he matched for Gortat and got Brandon Bass (another big) to help with rebounding, defense and hit open mid-rangers on offense that makes me happy, he realized that he needs his bigs to compete with LA (who let's be serious is the only team that gave Orlando trouble at the 4) and he went out and got one, while retaining a solid backup in Gortat. It is the GM and MGMT's job to surround their star (in your case Bosh) with players that can compete for a title which BC has done a good job with (before him, meh). It is the coach's job to connect the dots and make sure things run smoothly, Sam Mitchell seemed like a avg coach who could push his team only so much, don't see the Raps landing any big name coach anytime soon do idk. Finally it is the star player's job to provide that leadership quality needed to make it in the playoffs which frankly I think Bosh lacks, IMO Caulderon is more of a leader than Bosh both on and off the court. I personally don't think the Raps will get past the 1st round but it's just my opinion so w/e.

Did the NBA think SA and Denver needed 83 games to secure the 2 and 3 seed or did the NBA think Portland and Phoenix were'nt good enough to play 82 games or are you just punishing them by only allowing them 81 games.

No way 7 teams get 54 wins or more, I dont the the win totals would even out from top to bottom also. Anyway I just thought I would point that out, no big deal though

13. Memphis (Adding Randolph has "bad idea" written all over it, Randolph, Mayo, Gay and only one ball... hmm)
14. Minnesota (Losing their best player in Foye and streakiest shooter in Miller will cost them)
15. Sacremento (Meh)Now why u gotta be racist for?
