4) Chemistry of the Lakers......Artest could just be a bad gamble once again :p

5) Lebron would try dunking on as many people as possible.

2. Spurs might actually upset the Lakers.
3. "The Cavs revenge".
4. The Celtics big 3 might be too old to keep up with the young guys.
5. The Suns return to the playoffs.

Homer: The Raptors might actually do very well this season.

Thunder finish above 500, possibly sneak into the playoffs.

James Harden is the next Manu.

Westbrook
Harden
Durant
Green
Mullens

i dunno, that is a very talented young squad.

people will doubt them of course, they play in the WEST i KNOW!

but the blazers sneaked into the playoffs with a very young team only two seasons ago and no one saw that coming, i think the OKC Thunder can do the same.

I would beg to differ, Nothing realy in the front court, Green is a SF and Mullens is Raw, Their Bench isnt anything special, I would still have to wait on them maybe 2 years B4 I see them over .500. Mullens needs time, Green would be a killer bench player if they can find a real 4, While Westbrook was good, and Harden was one of my fav roks, I would still say give them both 1 more year B4 they are ready, so I would say 1 year if the can find a PF, 2 if they count on Mullens.

1. Can the Lakers repeat with Ron Artest and w/o Trevor Ariza?
2. Are the Magic for real?
3. Can the Celtics rebound with their core players at 100% health?
4. Is Shaq the missing piece in Cleveland?
5. For the West: Have the Spurs retooled for another title run?
For the East: Will the Bulls build on their playoff series with the Celtics without Ben Gordon?

1) See Kobe and Ron Ron kill 29 other backcourts in the NBA. Expect REPEAT!

2) Return of KG and how he and Sheed will dominate down low with Perk. I also wanna see how they stack up against Lakers trio of Gasol/Odom/Bynum in the 2010 NBA Finals and the 2 regular season meetings.

3) Shaq and Lebron, and the decent role players they signed in the offseason. Want to see how the experiment works out.

4) Blake Griffin with the Clippers, catapulting them to the 8th seed in the west. Lakers vs Clippers 1st round of playoffs.

5) The exciting Dallas Mavericks squad, seeing J-Kidd and Shawn Marion running the fastbreak once again (shades of phoenix suns in early 2000s) and see overall how mavs stack up against elite of the west like Lakeshow and Spurs. I sorta expect Lakers vs Mavs WCF

2. Will the Leaf's ever reach the cup finals again?

3. How long will it take Colangelo to realize that no matter what he does the Raptors will never be good enough.

4. Will the Argo's offence continue to get worse every game?

5. I heart Toronto FC (even though we got destroyed by Real Madrid.)

1. Durant might ascend into top 4 in the NBA status right behind Kobe,Wade,Lebron.

2. Rebirth of Jermain O'Neal (He looks dedicated in the video and tim grover looks to be putting him through hell).

3. Beginning of the Magic Dynasty. With Nelson's breakout season last year and Dwight continuing to improve on a monster season, last year was only a sneak preview of the greatness that can come from Orlando. Add in Vince Carter and a lot of solid role players and this team could win their first championship with many more likely to come.

4. Mario Chalmers ( yes not beasley or wright but chalmers) hes had an impressive but low profile offseason trying to reach the status of the elite pg's in the league. I think he'll surprise a lot of people this year.

5. NJ nets, Brook Lopez gets a bigger role so does Courtney Lee and Devin Harris they will be what portland was 2 seasons ago (young talented team with rising stars) will be attracting many superstar suitors in 2010 if they do as i expect them to this season.

I reallllllllllllllllllllly need to point this out to you. Dont be a sheep and say the Thunder may make the playoffs. For most of the NBA season last year, If you watched any, you would recognize that the OKC Thunder were THE WORST TEAM IN THE NBA. No chance they make the playoffs...seriously...how dare you or anyone else suggest that. Im so sick of hearing about the Thunder and the playoffs...pipe dreams man...pipe dreams.
Second thing. Brandon Roy will not win the MVP, he just isnt good enough and his team isnt good enough and his numbers arent good enough. If KOBE barely got his MVP and Chris Paul with his ridiculous stats cant win the MVP, then brandon Roy will NEVER win the MVP. That is just reality.
3rd thing. The Lakers will be fine with Artest.

you might want to change that. Blazers didn't make the playoffs 2 seasons ago, they finished 41-41 (enough to make it in the east but not the west). And if you were thinking of this past year, I wouldn't 54-28 record and a 4th place finish "sneaking in"

1. Orlando Magic - Great playoff run, lots of momentum, add VC and Barnes (lost Hedo) and now maybe even a better team.
2. Lakers - Champions, Ron Artest - some are doubting them, but they are clearly the favorites to win it all, they only got better. Deserved.
3. Cavs will be better than most people think. 67 wins last year - added Shaq, lost nothing.
4. Thunder make the playoffs.
5.Blazers are top 3 team in the West.
6. Miami Heat - Wade said he wants to be contenders if he is going resign. Heat will be doing all they can to get better. They did nothing this off-season. Heat have to do something soon or develop their players more.
