Saw this on ESPN

The Timberwolves and coach Kurt Rambis have agreed on a four-year contract worth in excess of $8 million.
Rambis has plenty of experience, but this will be his first NBA head coaching job. He'll have his hands full trying to improve the lowly Wolves, especially if Ricky Rubio does stay in Europe for another season or two. Aug. 8 - 9:45 pm et

Ah, this is a disaster for the Lakers. Phil Jackson said that Rambis will coach away games while Jackson will coach home games this year.

This is terrible.

No it's a disaster for the rest of the league because that means that old salt dog Phil Jackson will be on the bench at every game! uugghh

Kurt Rambis will without a doubt do an exceptional job as head coach.

Congrats and good luck to Captain Kurt! McHale may have clotheslined him a couple decades ago, but now Kurt has finally gotten back at him by taking Kevin "my knuckles have calluses because my arms are so long" McHale's job :D

As a Wolves fan, I am excited. He has played under a great coach in Riley, with great teams, and has worked under Phil Jackson for a good amount of time. Perfect hire in my opinion.

this could work for the t-wolves. In 1999, before the lockout, he was the head coach and the lakers went 24-13. Not bad. But of course that was years ago.

Good move for the Wolves

if Al Jeff gets some of that Rambis intensity.... instant domination
