Is Lamarcus Aldridge an allstar player?

he is a pretty good player, just not an all star. There isnt anyon who is an all-star that he would or even could replace.

not yet. If his rebounding wasn't so horrible then he would be all-star bound

i had this guy on my fantasy last year, and it frustrated me that at his height he rebounded so poorly.

He needs to put a lot more effort into defense and rebounding to get there. So right now, no.

who the HELL is saying "YES". I mean come on guys? WHo would LaMarcus A replace on the current all-star team? Exactly, he isnt an all-star

when there are players like carmelo anthony not making the all star team i find it hard to believe that aldridge will make it..

Hes a decent player but hardly a game changer.

not yet but he would be.

he has all-star potential but as of now no. he should be grabbing more boards

not yet and probaboy never.

i mean right now he is behind td, dirk, pau and stou three of them will start slowing down in 2 or 3 years but stou will still eb there you ahve to take on account the cnaces of bosh going houston next year ar high and then you got love, jefferson and griffing as prospects going up.

so he may make 1 or 2 depending on circumstances but is not a lock into it.

anyway he shoudl have been one before david west was.....

He's a very good role player.

He has that potential...but he is strictly a finesse player who seems to have less interest in rebounding and defense and more interest in shooting with each passing season.

not yet... he'll get there...

LOL okay so u think LA should repolace David West. WROOOOOOOOOOOOOONG. D WEst is better than Aldridge. Better Scorer, Passer, and Rebounder...probly even better defender LOL

there should have been a third choice

I had to vote NO

He has the potential to be an All-Star someday but at this point NO

he just inst a very good player for the size he has, should be a better rebounderbut isn't, IMO he is overrated

The potential.

He can be a 20 and 10 guy in a couple of years.

No, but he can be if he clicks his heals together hard enough.

Thats not true. He could replace David West, he is going to be a top 10 power foward probably even higher.

His offensive game is at an all star caliber, kinda like David West, now only if he could take stop pretending to be Eddy Curry and get some rebounds and blocks.....In retrospective he is getting marginally better at rebounding and blocking, but still has a ways to go.

I agree he needs to improve his rebounding.

CowboysKB24

No.

I think he has a lot of potential and I really like his game, but he hasn't improved in the past two seasons. He still stuck at about 15-18pts and 7-8 rebounds per game. If he could boost his stats up to 20-10 consistently and get his outside jumper down, I think he could really be a great player.

Soon....I give him about 2 more years.

Aldridge could very easily become an allstar. Aldridge happens to have Oden and Pryzbilla (both excellent rebounders) inside with him so that cuts down on his rebounds.

That guy you quoted is a total zeek, he thinks what he says is always a fact (he's a dumba&&). Aldridge averaged almost 8 rebounds a game on the best rebounding team in the NBA. There are alot of teams that dont have many people to rebound and certain guys will always rebound at a high rate because of it. Aldridge is on a very good all around team which rebounds as a team as good as anyone. I dont expect Aldridge to pick up the rebounds too much more with a very healthy Greg Oden in the game more than 20 minutes a game.

Surprised by how many are saying no to an 18 and 8 player that shoots 48%.

It is a pretty simple question you asked. Just look it up. He has never been an All Star so the answer is no. Why don't you make the same thread about David Lee.

why were you surprised? He's one of the worst rebounding big men in the league. When you has worse rebounding rate than Michael Beasley, you suck. He doesn't play good defense either. If he made up for his lack of rebounding and defense by putting up 22-24 ppg, he would get my vote

IMO, no.

Solid but not spectacular. Its funny though. If you asked this last offseason I bet a majority would have said yes. This past year he didnt take the leap from good to great as a lot thought he might. Now he is kind of an afterthought...

pretty dumb question..you are either a all star or your not. If you dont make the all star team your not a all star period. How good you are might be up for debate but not if your an all star

8 rpg is not bad.

8 rpg is not bad.

Problem is, Aldridge only grabs the easy uncontested boards...he isn't a great rebounder in traffic because he isn't physical enough.
