Whos the best center coming off the bench?

Big Z now.

Experience and veteran wise I would take Illgauskas coming off the bench. Could be a starter on a lot of other teams. I think Gortat is getting better and better though.

Zaza :D

Also the Clips have some depth at that position if both could stay healthy, Kaman and Camby.

Lamar Odom??

It is DeAndre Jordan or Chris Kaman obviously

Joel Przybilla lead the NBA in Field Goal %; Rebounding Ratio and Defensive Rebounding Ratio... and he doesn't get a mention?

EDIT: He also ranked 3rd in the NBA in True Shooting Percentage.

I would choose Camby over Pryzbilia anyday. He should be mentioned though, i agree.

well if Big Z comes off the bench i would say him as well. But! I feel like if Shaq was smart he would come off the bench because Z is a shooter and when lebron penetrates he will get guys like Z and Delonte open and thats an advantage with a 7 footer who can shoot and has basketball Iq. Ireally liked back in 07 when the lakers started Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum came off the bench it let him watch how the game was going and he would quickly acquire rebounds and blocks with the second unit...very smart idea ..

Big Z all day.
He's started for pretty much the entirety of his career, so to have that experience coming of the bench is just a priceless attribute. Definitely Z.

not at all

people often mistake Camby being continually out of position to block shots with good defense

Well you mentioned him. And then we all remembered he's the back up to what has so far been a total bust, so I guess that hurts his rep.

How many of these # threads are we going to have? They got stale after the # PG in the league. Need to come up with more original threads.

But to answer the Birdman. Has charisma, plays D, and can score

Camby. A former DPOY & a solid C off the bench

After that, probably Big Z. Birdman is a great bench guy also with his hustle on the boards, rebouding, and occasional offense in the paint.
