Well the top 10 at each position is now complete, time to end it with the final poll's. This year we will have a vote to see who are the 10 best players in the NBA are. The format is the exact same so please make your vote for who you feel are the best player in the league. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

I Skipped the 2nd Poll for time sake, Lebron and Kobe were the only one's in contention for the top spot so the loser got number 2.

NBA Player Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Kobe Bryant
2) Lebron James

Tempted to take Dwight, because of how rare his talent is, or Chris Paul, because of how great a player he is.

But, still going Wade.

For your TD lovers, he's a fantastic player but you can't deny he has declined. This isn't lifetime achievement rankings.

1) Kobe
2) Lebron
3) Dwight/Wade

Kobe by far is # 1 unless is a huge fall in his game next season. Kobe has been in this league for 13 yrs now. His game improves, his work ethic is still stellar, his poise and concentration is still unlike any other out there. His killer instict is like none other, and thats why he is the best player in this league for about 7+ years now. I would say since 2003, KObe Bryant has been by far the best player on this planet.

Dwade is great also but he hasnt been in this league for 13 yrs, and he hasnt proved he can do it for that long, nor has Lebron. Remember Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Penny, T-mac. All these guys were said to be best player at 1 time, but it all fizzled out soon. Kobe has proven so many times and done it so consistently that its just part of nature now. If kobe drops 40... its nothing big, or 50 or even 60. But if Lebron or Wade were to drop 40 its a big deal... they are automatically mentioned in the MVP callibur players. Kobe avg 40+ in 10 str8 games. Untill and unless any of these guys come close of doing that.. KOBE will always be the MVP.

can someone explain why we skipped the #2 vote. Has it ever occurred to you that all the KObe people may have chosen D-Wade second over Lebron and Wade would have won. Of course not. If you are going to set up a poll do it right. Stop taking shortcuts. It makes these cheap. There is no doubt in my mind that D-Wade is every bit as good as Lebron...and to not let people vote for it is ridiculous! Its always the same with these polls. That's called hate then if Kobe fans voted for Wade because they don't like Lebron.

And there is only 2 players dominating this league and that is Lebron and Kobe. Kinda make sense naming the loser #2.

It's close between Wade and Duncan. Duncan is more accomplished and is probably the top player ever at his position. But the poll is #3 Player in the NBA Today, so I'll have to go with Dwyane Wade. He's a leader, he can carry his team, take over a game, he makes everyone better, and he plays both ends of the floor.

The Raptors improved from 27 wins to 47 wins, they went from 11th to 3rd in the East, Bosh was probably the best forward in the East that year not named Lebron but Bosh was no where near the top 5 MVP rankings.

LOL What does that have to do with anything, we aren't talking about Bosh.

Just because he did not play last year doesn't mean he's not an honorable mention.

Ya but I'm saying just because you improve by a lot doesn't mean you win MVP.

You have to take into consideration other stuff from other players.

Who carried their team more? Lebron.

Who had less help? Lebron.

Would Lebron have won in 2007 with Shaq? Yes

Would Wade have won in 2006 with Ilgauskis? No

Ignorance is bliss.

Wade had 2006 Shaq (13 and 10 Shaq, not 20 and 10 Shaq)

Lebron had 2007 Ilgauskus (similar numbers)

Shaq there alone makes a bigger impact than Big Z.

You don't see anyone double teaming Big Z leaving a 3 point champion open for the 3. Wade had Kapono raining 3's when Shaq was double teamed.

And Wade has 20 and 10 Shaq for a whole season.

Lebron had 13 and 7 Big Z. Lebron was tired as hell when playoffs came around.

Wait, you mean the same Jason Kapono that played 2 mpg and didn't record a point, assist, steal, block, rebound, or ANYTHING the entire finals? Yup, exactly what I thought. You don't know **** about this....You are a talking head.

He didn't have Shaq at 20 10 at all that year either....

Don't try to argue with him...He is sure of everything although he has no factual basis behind anything.

To Raps...look at this http://www.nba.com/heat/stats/2005/nba_finals_stats.html and tell me Wade had help. Look at his 2nd leading scorer's FG%. Look.

He didn't have a cast either... He won though..

O I tohught it was the year after that. I never knew making mistakes were such a bad thing that you have people laughing at you.

Shaq averaged 20 and 10 in the 2005-2006 season. I would still take 20 and 10 Shaq for 60 games than 13 and 7 Big Z for 82 games. Wade still had way more help than Lebron in the season and in the playoffs.

I'm sure Lebron could do the same thing if he had Shaq carry his ***. I bet if Shaq had a 10 and 5 Shaq, they would win. And Shaq got 19 and 9 in the overall playoffs. He helped enough that Wade could save his energy to rip the Mavs in the finals. I bet that if Lebron had that kind of help, he can explode when it really counted.

O I tohught it was the year after that. I never knew making mistakes were such a bad thing that you have people laughing at you.

The point is that it shows 1) That you really didn't watch the series and 2) that you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the supporting cast.

Beyond Wade and 13-10 Shaq, you have Walker who was good for 13 and 5 (on 39% shooting :puke:), Posey, who was solid defensively and hit some big shots, J-Will who shot below 40% also and played mediocre D, Payton who was terrible on offense and decent on defense at that point in his career, and Zo who was a great backup c but was only in for 15 mpg.

So it was Wade

Shaq

Posey/Walker

J-Will

Zo

as really the only impact players. Wade carried a VERY mediocre team on his back the entire series and won 4 straight games single handedly.

Shaq averaged 20 and 10 in the 2005-2006 season. I would still take 20 and 10 Shaq for 60 games than 13 and 7 Big Z for 82 games. Wade still had way more help than Lebron in the season and in the playoffs.

20 and 9 sure, but what he did in the regular season doesn't really have anything to do with why Wade won the title. It's the finals performance that counts.

If he had more help, it was barely. Is barely more help really enough to make the difference between a 6 game series win and getting swept? No.

If my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon.

Wade has a ring, Lebron has none. Speculating on whether or not Lebron could have won in Wade's shoes is useless.
