The Los Angeles Clippers today waived guard Mike Taylor

Taylor played in 51 games for the Clippers last season, making five starts and averaging 5.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 15.1 minutes.

The first-year player was drafted by Portland on June 26, 2008 and then traded to the Clippers in exchange for a 2009 second round draft pick.

Interesting move, I thought they were high on Taylor.

I like Mike Taylor. He has good potential to be a solid defensive player. The Clippers waived Powell last year when they were high on him too. Interesting. Hopefully the Lakers can pick up Taylor for cheap since Taylor has some good promise.

Players like him are a dime a dozen, anyone remember Marcus Banks? MT was a good show during warmups but during game time he never really stood out as anything more than an end of the quarter defensive specialist. Hes got potential but Telfair is the better player.
