Depending on what Dallas does with their starting lineup, I like their second unit along with Orlando for the upcoming season.

Jazz- Without a doubt have the best bench in the league. anyone of our second unit can start for other teams. I think last year we had the one of the top scoring benches.

Jazz have the best right now, especially if carlos boozer is not traded, bulls are up there as well will miller and hinrich being the top dogs off the bench

The Jazz until Boozer gets traded. Millsap, AK-47, and Korver could be starters on the right teams. Plus, they've all just had a whole season where the starters were injured to get better.

Who makes up Utah's bench? Other than Milsap who may start this year.

OkurI'm pretty sure AK starts. Leaving Korver and Milsap as the only notables on the Utah bench.

Orlando's bench is pretty solid but they're lacking in the 1 & 2 spots
Brandon Bass
Marcin Gortat
Matt Barnes

I gotta say Blazers have the best bench in the league.

Roko Ukic for the Raptors hit a game winner. That does not prove he's a good player.

Looking strictly at Player Efficiency Rating, Portland has the best bench... and it's not even close:
Steve Blake's PER was 25th best among PG's
Rudy Fernandez's PER was 20th best among SG's
Travis Outlaw's PER was 20th best among SF's
Joel Przybilla's PER was 25th best among C's

They also have players with potential like Jerryd Bayless and Martell Webster (12.0 PER in 2007-08 at age 21)

Portland also had the second highest scoring bench in the NBA.

PER is an offensively biased stat, so you basically said the same thing twice. But yeah, that is a very high scoring bunch.

This is a combined list, for reference, along with my opinions. Rookies left off, unsigned players left off, non factors left off (I'm looking at you, Scalabrine) unless it definitely needed commenting.

POR - Takes it due to Pryzbilla and Fernandez.
Steve Blake (I never understood his game)
Jarryd Bayless (not a PG, too small for SG, hasn't done anything yet)
Rudy Fernandez (talented, but perpetually unhappy in Portland)
Travis Outlaw (jacks up shots, no D)
Joel Pryzbilla (could be starting elsewhere)

BOS
Tony Allen (They tried to trade him)
Marquis Daniels (Only started due to injuries, got beat out by a rookie)
Glen Davis (not signed, vastly overrated)
Leon Powe (injured, also not signed)
Rasheed Wallace (remains to be seen if he has anything left)

ORL - Good, but not great
Anthony Johnson (old and declining)
Mickael Pietrus (crazy that they didn't just start him)
Matt Barnes (streaky, vastly overrated)
Marcin Gortat (overrated, no minutes regardless)

UTA
Kyle Korver (one dimensional)
AK47 (not what he used to be)
Paul Milsap (only until Boozer is gone)

CHI
Kirk Hinrich (should be starting elsewhere)
Brad Miller (declining quickly)

DAL
JJ Barea (vastly undersized, good offense no D)
Terry Porter (Probably the best overall bench player)

CLE - if you don't count Z, their bench is weak
Daniel Gibson (had one good year, and it wasn't '09)
Anthony Parker (best years are behind him, was a marginal starter)
Jamario Moon (one dimesional, he can jump)
JJ Hickson (still hasn't done anything)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (probably doesn't qualify since Shaq will only play 1/2 the games)

TOR - lots of potential, but nothing proven except for Jack
Jarret Jack (promising, but only had one good year)
Marco Belinelli (unproven, promising though)
Reggie Evans (not a factor)
Antione Wright (could be a steal)

LAL - best team 1-6, but Odom is the only bench player of real note
Shannon Brown (promising, but still hasn't done anything)
Lamar Odom (he -is- the Laker bench)
Jordan Farmar (last year was just bad)

tland22

Hey Realist, comment on this bench that I KNOW is better than TORONTO's alleged #1 ranked bench LOL:

Hornets:
Antonio Daniels
Mo Pete
James Posey
Peja Stoikovich
Ike Diogu
Hilton Armstrong - terrible player and obviously the weakest link here.
