View Full Version : #3 player under the age of 24?

dsickich123
07-31-2009, 12:56 AM
We are going to run this the same way as the top 10 players from each position...
Accept we are doing the top 10 PLAYERS under the age of 24...
we are not factoring in rookies because we have not seen them play yet...
and LEBRON is 24 so that is why he is not on the list....
So lets see what you all think....

1. KEVIN DURANT
2. DERRICK ROSE
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

*AND SORRY I FORGOT DWIGHT HOWARD AND MONTA ELLIS...THOUGHT THEY WERE OLDER....SO LETS COUNT THEM OUT ASSUMING THAT THEY WOULD BE TOP ON THE LIST*

No Homer pick here, its all legit. Bargnani. He is the raps 2nd option, which is a playoff contender. Can we please have a poll without all these homer picks?

Just to be honest the reason why I rallied to make Andrea the fifth pick on the Center poll, is because I knew Bynum was gonna take that spot. To be honest I think AB is a lot better than Bynum. I think Bargnani is a 7-8 best C in the league at best, but also a future 1-4 best C in the league . Blame Laker fans for ruining that poll :).

Yeah. Next poll just add Beasley, Ellis, Smith and Biedrins, and make Dwight the #1 and you're fine.

That solves everything. Monta isn't top 3 anyways and Dwight is the clear #1.

this was tough. i went with Rudy Gay and was pleased to see he has the most votes. he plays both ends of the floor, he has hops like crazy. mayo may be better than him in the future, but right now it's still Gay's team. and as for Bynum, i was very unimpressed with him this past year. so for me: gay > bynum right now

agreed. wait, actually i'd put josh smith at the 4th spot and bump rondo to 5th. then that would be my top 10 as well.

it has to be based on what they can do now. since mayo was second in voting last year ill go with him. even though his defense isnt really great, he can sure do pretty much everything at the other end of the court.

If I'm picking a guy to be on my team it's OJ Mayo for sure. Look at the rookie numbers: 19ppg/4rbp/3apg/1spg shooting 44/38/88. Historically the big jump is from rookie to sophomore year. It's scary to think what he might put up next year AND he's the abillity to be a lockdown defender. Sign me up.

Rondo, Lopez, and Gay are jokes for #3. For me, it was between these 3 guys:

Eric Gordon VS OJ Mayo VS Andrea Bargnani

Eric: Has avgd 20+ppg since January. Played great, had around 48% FG since January, so he is an efficent scorer.

OJ: He was a huge scorer, but a chucker. He knows how to attempt a lot of shots in a hurry, he avged abt 18ppg in the whole season, but was only 43% FG.

Andrea: Bin great since January, 20ppg, 7rpg, 1.5bpg.

At the end, it was between Eric Gordon or Andrea. I became a homer so i picked Andrea, but easily could've gone either way.

Agreed. I also don't believe Beasley is #3 in this poll, but don't underestimate Beasley's talent. He did very well in his rookie season with the limited minutes he was given. The man put up 14 points and 5 rebounds in the 22 minutes on average when on the court. Imagine when he gets about 30-35 minutes a game.
