The Atlanta Hawks and restricted free-agent forward Marvin Williams(notes) reached an agreement on an undisclosed contract on Wednesday, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

Williams averaged 13.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 61 games last season. The 23-year-old was selected by Atlanta with the second overall pick in the 2005 NBA draft.

Good re-signing. That core of Smith, Horford, and Williams should stay together they are the future of the Hawks along with Teague. Took a while but it looks like they got it done.

I'm happy for Atlanta. That's a big market that deserves a good team. It's pretty amazing that 3 of the best young promising teams are the Hawks, Thunder and Clippers. Who would have thought...

Like the signing but I will happier when I see the amount. I guess we can stop all the 7 Footer talk in Atlanta because it looks like we are sticking with our 3,4,5 Zaza, Bibby. If Joe Johnson decides to bolt after next year we got Crawford for another year. So the Hawks should be poised to at the very least be a contender in the East in the next few years as long as everyone continues to develop.
