Where will Gilbert Arenas rank next year in the NBA? Will he be a top 10 player? Top 15? Top 20?

Maybe if he can actually play this year.

Not a Top 10 player, but he will bounce back for sure; the Wizards will be better. Not sure he will get back to the way he was in 2006-2007 just yet.

Depends if he takes 30 shots a game again or not.

In no order:
JJohnson, PP, KG, Rose, LeBron, Dirk, Melo, Billups, Granger, Kobe, Pau, Wade, Dwight, Amare, Duncan, Durant, Bosh, DWill, CP3, AJefferson

There are 20 guys who I think will all be better than him...there are another 10-20 that are right there with him as well. I would be surprised if he were a top 20 talent this year after all he's gone through. Hopefully he'll get through a full season--he's fun to watch.

Top 20 or so.

Top 15. Healthier then ever, he lost 20 pounds he's in better shape then he's ever been.

rotoworld-
Gilbert Arenas' weight is the lowest it's been in five years, and he is said to fully trust his surgically repaired knee.

NBA TV's Rick Kamla posted the information via Twitter, with head coach Flip Saunders and the front office's Tommy Sheppard supplying the details. Both facts are big news for Arenas and his potential fantasy value, so it's conceivable that brave owners could spend a late first-round pick on him.

i think the first half of the season he might be in the top 20...by the all star break he should have his legs again and maybe make his way up that list to maybe top 15.

Even when performing well, I'd put him in the 15-25 range. He doesn't bring all the things you want from a superstar like leadership and defense. He is selfish, and will always constrict his team's abilities because of that.

He is a good scorer but as far as top 10 player noway but he could change my opinion of course if he comes back and adds another element to his game besides shooting.

I think my top 10 players are guys that work hard on both ends of the floor and have an all around game or can run a team like no other

Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, D Wade, LeBron, KG, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Dwight Howard, Tony parker, Brandon Roy, Carmelo Anthony.

I might add Caron Butler is probably better all around too.

Top 5. Yes i am a homer.

And he isnt talking to the media anymore, he's all business. He got D-wade's trainer he had last year, who also trained Kobe.

Rudy gay even said that Gil is on a mission of his own (cant find the quote right now). He will be back boys, keep doubting :)

I feel bad for him because he is one of the greatest competitors the NBA has. He loves the game and working hard.

I don't know where he is going to be when he comes back though. Top 20 sounds good, then maybe high top 10 by the end of the season.

YEah top ten in games missed due to injury. Or shot attempts. Definently not a top ten player though.

I think most of us want him to come back cuz he was so exciting and fun to watch. Top 20? I don't think so but it will be good just to see the guy back on the court for a full season (hopefully).

Whoever says Rose is better than Arenas is high. DRose is going into his Soph year, yeah he's a great player but nowhere near being the game changing, clutch player that Hibachi is.

Top 10 scorer but not Top 10 player. I do think Arenas is in the top 5 in Pgs though.

I think we've all forgotten how good he is when he's healthy. Although that's the key, staying healthy. But a healthy Gilbert is as dangerous a person in the league as any (kinda).

Yes, offensively he is top 10 and will be top 10. Maybe even top 5.

I think, fully healthy it's possible he'll be in the top 10.

At the end of the season, his rhythm was off and he wasn't conditioned but one thing I noticed was a much improved ability to run an offense and get the easy assist instead of a hard contested shot, I believe if that carries over with his dedication this offseason to get in shape, working with the trainer that helped D-Wade get back to form, we could see the resurrection of a refocused player.

Yeah in the few games he did play at the end of last year, he was looking to distribute the ball more. Idk if that was because he didn't trust his shot or was still a little timid with his knee but I liked what I saw with him running the offense. He may be a top 10 offensive player this year but I still wouldn't put him in the top 10 overall because of his lack of defense. He plays zero D. You can't be a top 10 player if you only play hard half the time.

He is an immature sideshow...behind the smoke and mirrors that is his flashy game lies nothing of real substance. Even when healthy, Arenas is not a winner.
