I think if not ai LOL it should be HArris

07-25-2009, 03:03 PM
nelson,rose,harris,mo, or calderon (hopefully)

07-25-2009, 03:04 PM
I forgot about arenas

07-25-2009, 03:04 PM
Derrick Rose will be popular now.

07-25-2009, 03:05 PM
Derrick Rose will be popular now.and him

07-25-2009, 03:11 PM
1. Arenas
2. Harris
3. Nelson
4. Rose
5. Mo

and a bunch of players like Calderon and Bibby close behind.

They might just go with a couple of shooting guards in the back court. Maybe Dwyane Wade and Joe Johnson, if not Devin Harris, Derrick Rose, and Gilbert Arenas come to mind.

07-25-2009, 03:21 PM
Devin Harris will get the Start....

07-25-2009, 03:30 PM
A lot of guys have a shot who ever performs the first half.

07-25-2009, 03:32 PM
i'd say rondo-plays for a popular team, coming off a season that had people take notice, plays with a bunch of stars and some of the spotlight will splash over effect

07-25-2009, 03:40 PM
gil will get it, hes always popular. espically if he can stay healthy he will get it. he may not be the best player, but he excites the fans and he will get the votes required!

Devin Harris, Derrick Rose, Jameer Nelson, Rajon Rondo and Jose Calderon are all nominees.

07-25-2009, 03:58 PM
Derrick Rose > Every PG in the East

Derrick Rose > Every PG in the East

That is an arguable statement.

07-25-2009, 04:09 PM
arenas rondo harris rose nelson mo williams

07-25-2009, 04:10 PM
harris is better than rose

07-25-2009, 04:10 PM
Dwyane Wade could play point.

07-25-2009, 04:12 PM
I can't see Harris getting the start. He's a good scorer, but is fairly inconsistent, can't play defense, and isn't multi-faceted on the offensive end.

Unless his game seriously developed over the offseason, I'm not buying the Harris-hype.

Agent Zero, D. Rose, D. Harris, or J. Nelson..

07-25-2009, 05:03 PM
That is an arguable statement.
Let's argue.

07-25-2009, 05:11 PM
Rose, Harris, Calderon, Rondo

07-25-2009, 05:24 PM
gilbert arenas or derrick rose will start this year for sure!!! devin will be behing them

07-25-2009, 05:29 PM
Um.. if Iverson isn't signed then it will definitely be Arenas. He interacts with fans a lot and the public a lot. Nelson has no chance. Williams has no chance. Calderon has no chance, Rose might have a chance actually, Harris and Rondo may have a chance as well but I doubt they will get that many votes.

Being the starter is about popularity.

07-25-2009, 05:48 PM
Agent Zero

07-25-2009, 05:53 PM
D. Rose / Arenas / Harris

07-25-2009, 05:59 PM
Arenas, or D Rose. Harris maybe.

07-25-2009, 06:09 PM
If we are talking about the All Star game we could very well see two shooting guards instead of a point guard starting: Wade and Vince Carter.

I expect Vince to get more media attention and more (national) tv time with Dwight in Orlando, and that could result in more votes. He was already/still very popular last year. The move to Orlando will rather be positive than negative Imo.

07-25-2009, 06:17 PM
1. Arenas
2. Harris
3. Nelson
4. Rose
5. Mo

and a bunch of players like Calderon and Bibby close behind.

Yeah, if Arenas comes back healthy, most likely he'd be starting.
I agree with your list.

07-25-2009, 06:24 PM
Rabble, rabble, rabble....Arenas....rabble, rabble, rabble

07-25-2009, 06:25 PM
Btw a few facts about last year's All Star voting that I didn't even know previously:

Luke Ridnour ended up 5th behind Wade, AI, Carter, and Harris, with more than a million votes. Ray Allen finished 6th with 850.000 votes.

I'm surprised by that, and wasn't he injured as well at that time?

Manu Ginobili finished 4th in West forwards, and Brucen Bowen finished 3rd in West forwards, ahead of Melo, Dirk, Gasol, Artest.... are you kidding me???

Are these the correct listings?? This is what NBA.com says, so I assume they are, but Bruce Bowen with that many votes (about 1.4 million)?? I didn't know he was that popular.

Yi also came closer than he should to starting instead of KG, but 200.000 votes is still quite a margin (2 million vs 1.8 million votes).

Rose is pretty popular, he should probably get it. I'll vote for Rose, Harris or Rondo.

They don't need a PG.

Voting is based on G, F, C and not PG, SG, SF, PF, C.

It is going to be Dwyane Wade and Joe Johnson at the back.

07-25-2009, 06:29 PM
noone. they'll come off the bench. the fans are voting for 2 guards in the all star game. the shooting guards that will be on the list are way more popular than those point guards. so unless arenas stays alive and well when the all star game comes along. no point guard is gonna make the starting spot.

07-25-2009, 06:31 PM
Shaq. Book it.

07-25-2009, 06:31 PM
The way Rondo played in the playoffs he might get it, along with Rose.

07-25-2009, 07:03 PM
Arenas will probably get atention, Then Im not sure but its between Rose/Harris/Rondo ( depends which steps up ) The ON the 2nd level Id put Mo/Calderon/ Nelson All of which have some holes, Mo and Nelson mainly being shooters, and Calderon not having the flash of Rose, Harris and Rondo

Im not so sure on areanas though, because though he is a talented scorer, he isnt much more.

Id say 1st level ( Arenas )
2nd Level ( Roes/Harris/Rondo )
3rd level Mo/Nelson/Caleron/ Maybe Stucky

But I cant see anybody but the top 4 being considered.

07-25-2009, 07:11 PM
I'd take Rose over Arenas and Nelson. Harris and Rose are just about even in my eyes but I think Harris will end up with the start.

07-25-2009, 07:14 PM
Rose,Nelson,Harris and Calderon are the elite, so one of them. Watch out for Brandon Jennings in a few years.

07-25-2009, 07:17 PM
I'd take Rose over Arenas and Nelson. Harris and Rose are just about even in my eyes but I think Harris will end up with the start.

Harris has a better offensive game but Rose has him beat just about everywhere else. Id say its one of these two though.
