With all the trades happening in the east with the Cavaliers, Magic, Celtics and other contendors who do you think will win the eastern conference.(assuming that there are no injurys)

Mines are the Magic with a expiereced, good bench

Magic.

The way D12 and Jameer watched us celebrate to use as motivation and now that they're deep and balanced,I'm pretty sure those overrated cavs and celts will be killed by orlando.

Celtics.
The Magic aren't going to be as untsoppable as you think.
Teams can only go as far as their best players take them.
Nelson, Carter, Howard Vs. Pierce, Allen, Garnett - you'd be a fool to place you're money elsewhere. Throw in Rondo and Wallace and that's the best 5 man rotation that any team can put on the floor in the NBA. Wallace also gives Howard severe problems - I don't see that ending anytime soon.

the entire eastern conference will be extremely boring until the second round of the playoffs, when one of these teams will face off against the 4/5 seed and the other two of these teams will face off against each other.

it's a close race, that's for sure.

I feel like the Magic will suffer a bit as the "defending champions" (of the East). They sort of snuck in last year. Now that every team saw them get stopped in the Finals and that they have a target on their backs, it might be a lot tougher. Losing Turkoglu and Lee hurts a lot too. I love Vince and think he's the better player of the two, but Turk was essential to their success last year. Lee was a good defender that might be hard to replace. Adding Bass and Barnes certainly will give them a ton of depth up front though.

The Celtics are the best if Garnett comes back strong and Pierce and Allen can give it one more shot. I expect Garnett to do so, but Pierce looked ugly last year. And was last year one last hurrah for Allen or does he have another in him? Wallace was a good pickup, but he can hurt teams just as much as he helps in crunch time.

I'd say the Cavaliers are the easiest to assess right now. The team is basically the same -- only Pavlovic, Szczerbiak, Smith, and Wallace's corpse are gone. None was a huge player (although I wouldn't mind getting Smith back for depth), and the additions of Parker and Moon counteract what little they lost. LeBron is LeBron and the rest of the team is the same except for Shaq. Shaq at the very least adds depth up front. I think he'll be fabulous for them as he can finish down low unlike any player the Cavaliers have had in LeBron's era. With his ability to get position and LeBron's ability to distribute, Shaq could be huge. He also could get hurt or stink up the joint. Someone like Danny Green could really contribute if he develops as expected. The Cavaliers' one real weakness at this point is still the lack of depth up front.

It's hard to call for me. I'd never pick the Cavaliers as the favorites (and never have) at the risk of jinxing them or looking like a homer. And I'm not sure if they are. I do think people are discrediting them a little too much though. It's also hard for me to really call the Magic or the Celtics the favorites as those teams are a little harder to predict with all the turnover and injuries. So I'm going to call it a three-way tie.

Celtics easily. The Magic lost a lot with Hedo leaving and they rely on the 3 pointer way too much. If Boston didn't choke in game 6 they would have beat the Magic in 6 games with no KG. Now they got Wallace. The race is between Cleveland and Boston now.

With no injuries, I say the Cavs.

A healthy Shaq can get you close to 20 and 10.

It's hard to predict....I think the East will be alot more competitive this year. No team will win 60 games.

I have my doubts about Cleveland...adding Shaq really puts their excellent chemistry from last season in jeopardy. If a great coach was at the helm I would be less concerned...but Mike Brown will not earn enough respect to keep this team focussed and stop them from goofing around.

Orlando will also struggle to integrate all these new players in the regular season...however, they are much more wellrounded and thus better equipped for postseason ball. If Boston once again struggles with injuries, Orlando's depth wiull get them to a 2nd consecutive finals.

However, a healthy Boston team has too much experience and toughness to handle. With the addition of Rasheed Wallace and their new designated wing defender Marquis Daniels (who's signing is prolly the most underrated so far this offseason), they have added quality pieces. They will prolly tank in the regular season to get healthy in the postseason....and if they are healthy they are the best bet to win the East.
