How good can he get? Can he be a perennial allstar?

he is a very solid player...but is never a top 3 player on his own team if they wanna be any good. In a non NY system he is probably a career 14-11 guy... very very solid!

Last season he was a 16 - 11.7 guy. Not much different than your projection.

I doubt he'll be an all star player.

He's a very good player.

But definitely not an all star.

if david lee improved his jump shot and actually played defense then he would be an allstar

Doesn't have the kind of offensive ability to be a perennial all-star.

As Daleja said, very, very solid.

To me his ceiling is high! He is already putting up double doubles everynight without having a jumpshot and a go to move, he's athletic, hustle's hard, if he develops a gun and a bonafied go to move he will be a beast! But that's just my opinion!

Was Anthony Mason talented offensively? Hell to the no but he still made it! So that's def not a good argument!

He had gotten better every year I think his shot and handles will get a little better too, He has come a long way his rebounding has always been good but his shot and handles has gotten alot better.

I agree he's about topped out.

He's not gifted with great leaping ability, versatility or a natural jump shoot and hardwork will only get you so far. I think playing on a bad team has allowed him to learn the NBA game better because of playing time and with that and his work ethic it could keep him in the neighborhood he's in now in points and rebounds even on a better team but I doubt he will ever improve his current stats by more than a point or rebound.

I think defensively he could get better though.

At C Dwight will be the East's starter for the forseeable future, and as long as Shaq's in the league, he'll likely be there before Lee. When Shaq's gone, one of Hasheem Thabeet, Marc Gasol, Andrea Bargnani, or Roy Hibbert (fingers crossed) will challenge for the backup spot.

At Forward he's got no chance, with Garnett, Lebron, Granger, Pierce, Lewis, Beasley, Wallace, Brand, etc. all taking up votes. And let's not forget Yi!

If DJ Mbenga improved his jumpshot and actually played defense then he would be an allstar as well.

He is a really good role player.
He would have to continue to play for D'antoni and add the 3 to his game. Also, improve his passing ability.
His ceiling is something like 18-22ppg, 10-12rpg, 1.5bpg 3apg 350 from deep and over 500 from the floor. a 750 at the line would be nice too.

Picture, Memet Okur with a better inside game.
That would make him an allstar.

But... On any other team I feel like he is a reaaallly good bench player, 6th man material, but no. Not a starter for most teams in the NBA.

Defensively, he can definitely get better. He isn't an outstanding athlete but he has the brains and the brawn to play better defense than he does. He'll be a double-double guy for the next 6-7 years, but he's reached his ceiling or is close to it.

He's a solid starter. He might make an all star team or two, but thats it.

He reached his ceiling this year he probably won't be any better then he is now.
If Wally can make the all-star team Lee can definitely make it

Lee's not going to put up any better numbers than he did this year. He's an exceptional role player and on a good team he would be a 6th man.

He might make the All-Star team one day but he's not going to be perennial.

I think what you saw last year is what you'll get. Doubt he'll ever be an allstar.

he has already hit his ceiling. New York system makes him look better. But a solid player

He is a solid role player, rebounder...but he isn't an all-star caliber player. He is frustrated by the Knicks talks simply because he thinks he is better than he is.
