Now how would any of these elite guys have done with the Rockets with Yao during that time giving Yao's production and considering what T-mac was giving production-wise?

Lebron
Wade
Kobe
Pierce
Vince
Melo
Iverson

Each of them were in the league and playing near star ball.

McGrady's not short on talent. Just injury prone. Only b/c of this I'd say Wade, Kobe or LeBong might have fared better.

His PER is pretty impressive in the playoffs.

You mean TMac? LOL idk how to answer this...at the outset of the season you chose as your starting point TMac was right there with Kobe in the discussion of most dominant shooting guards.

up to 2006, I don't think any of those guys make a bit of difference. Kobe maybe, but to be honest at that stage he and TMac were similar players statistically speaking. I don't think he takes them any further because the supporting cast was so bad. Post 2006, LeBron of course would do better. His passing ability would help Yao get easy looks, and he is big enough that he could actually play some 4 and complement Yao pretty well. 2007 to present? The two Ive mentioned plus Wade would be superior to TMac, because of the injuries and his age. Not sure about the point here, are you saying with one of those players the rockets would have been a markedly better team?
