From the 2000-2009 NBA Champions, which championship players would make 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all-teams respectively??

1st Team

PG Tony Parker (2003, 2005, 2007 (Spurs) & 2007 NBA FINALS MVP)
SG Kobe Bryant (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 (Lakers) & 2009 NBA FINALS MVP)
SF Paul Pierce (2008 (Celtics) & 2008 NBA FINALS MVP)
PF Tim Duncan (2003, 2005, 2007 (Spurs) & 2003, 2005 NBA FINALS MVP)
C Shaquille O'Neal (2000, 2001, 2002 (Lakers), 2006 (Heat) & 2000, 2001, 2002 NBA FINALS MVP)

2nd Team

PG Chauncey Billups (2004 (Pistons) & 2004 NBA FINALS MVP)
SG Dwyane Wade (2006 (Heat) & 2006 NBA FINALS MVP)
SF Rick Fox (2000, 2001, 2002 (Lakers))
PF Kevin Garnett (2008 (Celtics))
C Ben Wallace (2004 (Pistons))

3rd Team

PG Derek Fisher (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 (Lakers))
SG Manu Ginobili (2003, 2005, 2007 (Spurs))
SF Bruce Bowen (2003, 2005, 2007 (Spurs))
PF Robert Horry (2000, 2001, 2002 (Lakers), 2005, 2007 (Spurs))
C Pau Gasol (2009 (Lakers))

Head Coach: Toss up between.these two, it's a win-win situation, I love both coaches, no bias...

Phil Jackson (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009 (Lakers)) *(91-93 & 96-98 with Bulls in 90s)
&
Greg Poppovich (2003, 2005, 2007 (Spurs)) *(99 with Spurs in 90s)

Note: There is no other worthy center for the 3rd team, so I had to move Pau to the Center position from PF because Pau was good offensively and great defensively in this year's finals and was a major contributor.

And Yes, 1999 was the previous decade, so I will state this as a side note since Duncan is that great and he deserves notoriety for it obviously...

1990s
PF Tim Duncan (1999 (Spurs) & 1999 NBA FINALS MVP)

and....

PF Robert Horry (1994, 1995 (Rockets))

Horry 2nd team IMO, and chauncey 1st team

though Billups is a better player with a bigger role on his championship team, Fisher has more rings, and he has the clutch shots to boot. using that criteria, i'd also put Horry above Garnett. i think i might have to agree with the rest of the list however.

Ya, i couldn't decide between the two. i thought they were interchangeable. i mean chauncey got the finals mvp, but fish won 4 titles, and was part of the 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT Laker championship teams. But yea, either/or i guess.

But there is no way i would put bowen ahead of fox. bowen was really only effective in 03 and 05 titles, but so-so in 07 (it was team defense that stopped lebron). Rick was a solid defender, not as good as bowen, but he was a much better scorer and a more consistent 3-pt shooter. whereas bowen got really only hit that corner 3 (the shortest distance for a 3-pointer), Rick could hit it from all over. While Bowen was a better defender, Foxxy was a much better passer.

EDIT: I just remembered that Fox came off the bench in Laker 2000 championship. The starting SF for that laker championship team was glen rice. however, i think fox was more effective in the finals against the Pacers than Rice was (one of the reasons Rice did not come back the next season and Fox took over and successfully carried out the starting spot, cuz Rice's defense sucked and his 3 pt shot was not as consistent as previous yrs with the heat in his early career and the charlotte hornets before coming to the lakers)

Ya, thinking about it, I think i am gonna change d-fish to third team (on my original post), but no way billups (1 title 1 finals mvp) is ahead of parker (3 titles 1 finals mvp)

Billups in his prime was better than Parker is now. So I pick him as starting point guard.

PG Chauncey Billups
SG Manu Ginobili
SF Kobe Bryant
PF Tim Duncan
C Shaq

Oki doki...so I cheated a bit putting Kobe at the 3...but hey.

shooting guard kobe bryant
Point guard tony parker(he was so dominant the last 2 chips, your crazy if you think anyone else is more deserving)

i wonder how Ben wallace who acted as a 5th offensive option an enforcer is above Pau gasol who won the ring being a second option on the team.

also i wonder how soonn does people forget.

is it me or a top 10 center all time that won a ring in this decade should be on one of those lists?

DAVID ROBINSON

In my opinion those winning multirings should clog the first and seond team and have the third team just for the one hit wonders.

first team : Parker, Kobe, Bowen, Duncan, Shaq

second team :Fisher,Manu, Horry, Pau, Robinson

Third team BIllups, Wade, Pierce, Kg, Sheed

Make sense please. There are only 5 teams to choose from, only two of those teams have more than one title.

I'd put Robinson on there too. Ahead of Gasol. Not ahead of B.Wallace though, he was the guy on that Pistons team. He was their identity.
Also, I'd throw Bowen on the first team, or second team at the least. Rick Fox should NOT be on the second team.

Oh, and CERTAINLY Chauncey ahead of Fisher. Put Jarrett Jack on those Lakers teams, and guess what, they still win! Fisher is such a right place right time sort of guy. (Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy, but you can't put him above Chauncey.)

Ya, i totally forgot about David Robinson (sorry spurs fans, my bad). in that case, I just might put him ahead of Gasol for 3rd team.

Lots of Lakers on your team.

lol, 4 titles including a 3 peat, and starting and ending the decade with a title.

Shaq, Kobe, Fish and Horry are pretty much locks.

I forgot about David Robinson, so I'm putting him ahead of Gasol (i MIGHT edit that on my original post)

but I feel winning 3 straight titles and being a consistent knock 3 point shooter should give Rick Fox some acclaim.

im not sure from this, but there are 4 small forwards to choose for these 3 spots

1) Paul Pierce
2) Bruce Bowen
3) Rick Fox
4) Tayshaun Prince

I think you have to value the amt of titles one gets. bowen and fox each with 3, prince and pierce each with 1

Fox is arguable and he obviously prefers Prince. Wallace only won one title and wasn't as great as Pau was in that series.

You dont need to have a SF neccesarily in the First Team if I'm correct. Can't you have KG in the Small forward role like in the previous All Star Games? Just wondering.
