Hey guys, Some of you may remember but I conducted a poll at the start of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. I would like to start this up once more considering the NBA season is now over and we can get to this discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

PF Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Tim Duncan
2) Kevin Garnett
3) Dirk Nowitzki
4) Chris Bosh
5) Amare Stoudemire
6) Pau Gasol
7) Carlos Boozer
8)

I went with J-Smoove because of his defense and explosiveness, although Antawn is probably the best player left on the board.

Pau should at least be #3. I'm going for Rashard Lewis.

You can make a case for Dirk and Bosh being ahead of him (although I don't agree with the Bosh one). I can't believe Amare was voted ahead of Pau though. He has half the game Pau does, once he ages he won't be able to do anything...

Anyway, I don't think you can put Josh Smith or Rashard Lewis on this poll. I think they're both SFs playing PF.

What happened to Al Jefferson? Is he officially listed as a center now?

Anyway, of the options listed, I think it's between David Lee and Antawn Jamison. I'm giving my vote to Lee, I think he's just as good but he's seven years younger...

Jamison was on a terrible team putting up those numbers, whats your point? Plus Jamison was the first option on the floor while Rashard through the first half of the season was sometimes the 4th option on his team behind Howard, Hedo and Nelson. Stats are not everything, Lewis is a much better defender and really made great strides in becoming a good PF. He can defend all the hybrid 4's in todays game and even played some of the bigger 4's well as well. Jamison can do any of that. Lewis even though his contract is beyond crazy remains a very good PF and I would take him over west or Jamison at this point. West's game remains very much a product of the great Chris Paul.

No not even close. West is a product of Chris Paul. You say Jamison has no defense like West is a All-Defense First Team. On defense they're both pretty bad. Rebounding goes to Antawn. How the hell you came up with Jamison not rebouding? And post game? I understand he is very very unorthodox but he scores from any angle and position.
Scoring- Antawn Jamison
Defense-Equal (Equally bad)
Rebounding-Antawn Jamison
Passing-Equal
This one is pretty easy for me. Both are great players, and both are very similar, but Jamison does more things better than West.

Jamison was putting up the same numbers with a full healthy team too, also when he wasn't the first option. Jamison has been a 20 and 9 or 10 guy for 4 years now. And he played with either Arenas and Hughes, or Arenas and Butler. Lewis is a very good player, but i don't think he is PF. The Magic kind of forced him to play that position, and he took advantage of it.

Antawns Team Defensive Efficiency

99 10th (His Rookie Year)
00 27th
01 28th
02 28th
03 29th
04 26th
(Mavs year, GSW got better defensively immediately following his departure, whereas the Mavs were better before, and after his arrival.

05 19th (Wiz Era)
06 22nd
07 28th
08 24th
09 29th

Team Defensive Differential W/Out Antawn
09: -2.2
08: +3.3
07: -3.9
06: -2.6
05: +0.5
04: -0.4
03: -4.8

Throughout his entire career, his teams have tended to fair better without him on the floor, defensively. This isnt to say hes a bad player, or that its all his fault, some of those - years, he had a halfway decent adjusted differential, but for the most part hes been a horrible defender. Does it make him a bad player? In my eyes it doesnt make him an All-Star, and neither is West IMO, but when a comparison is so close like West and Antawn, you cant go with the guy who doesnt offer much outside the stat sheet ahead of a guy like West.

^ That's ridiculous. Bosh got to number 4 because there are so many Raptors fans. Pau should clearly be #4. But I'd still take Bosh over Amare. In fact I might take someone like Boozer over either of them. lol.
