All I know is that the top 4 PG's listed have one ring between them. Tony Parker should be higher.

Pierce in the top 5???????????? Give me a break, Pierce sucks!! Now if this thread was related to how many times a player runs to the hoop, falls down with no contact, yells arghhhhhhhhh, and stares down the refs with lonesome tears in his eyes, as his team is playing defense 4 on 5 on the other end of the court, then I agree......he should be in the top 5. Actually he should be #1! Other than that, he is useless and should try the WNBA.

LeBron / Melo / Durant / Pierce / Artest

Yeah Baron over TP. He can post up and shoot better. He's better on defense too.

I say he's a SG because he's listed as Guard-Forward.

Iguodala, yep. Iverson, nope.

Yeah, I'd much rather have Amare.

Yeah Bynum over Shaq....and it's not even close. Did you guys forget he had to miss every other game last year?

Like I said, Granger is a SG. Plus, I'd rather have Artest because of his defense. When he doesn't have to carry a team, he's a constant DPOY Candidate.

Granger has never played SG in his life.

Joe Johnson was an MVP candidte. No way is Iggy over him.

Shaw is better than Bynum. He averaged better and has better skills.

TP is waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Davis and it isn't even close.

How can you have Artest and Bynum over Shaq and Granger. I guess Artest is already making impressions on Lakers fans.

 I hate Kobe but atleast I'm reasonable. No way is Wade better than him.

Statistically he was.

To me it is like the 2006 argument. Kobe put up the numbers and Wade did as well just not as good but Wade won the title. This year Wade put up the numbers and then Kobe puts up numbers and wins the title.

Gasol is better than Dirk and KG. Bynum shouldn't be #5 after his play in the playoffs. Wait until he's back to full strength next season and he'll break the #5.
and the same goes for J.Johnson, AWFUL post season, and he is ****in overrated anyways! And Will be top 3 eventually, but he is not there yet. Everyone over looks Kevin martin way too much, he is the most efficient 2 guard when he is healthy. And i said this before, but how does a guy that gets 50 points on 10 shot attempts get NO LOVE. not even an honorable mention.

wow. just the factthat Steve Nash isnt in the top 5 point guards is ridiculous. people just underrate him because he isnt young and flashy and because hes white. but hes still the best offense point guard in the league. maybe not the best overall point guard because of his defensive liability, but hes the best offensive point guard. best shooter. best passer. best at controlling the tempo.

Yeah Baron over TP. He can post up and shoot better. He's better on defense too.

.

:bs: That's total bull and you know it. I respect your opinion usually on these forums but let's face it, you picked Baron because he can dunk and is more spectacular...plain and simple.

Parker is actually a really skilled post up player and has shown a variety of post moves finishing in the lane more than once. I've never seen Baron display similair skills with his back to the basket. The only reason you say he can post up is because he has bulk.

Baron Davis also happens to be an atrocious defender. Parker isn't a great defender either but at least he is above average at least. As for shooting, what's your damage? Baron Davis shot a whopping 37% last season and 30% from beyond the arc.

Parker shot 29% from beyond the arc last season...not great either, but considering he didn't chuck them away like Baron did, respectable for him. Meanwhile 54% shooting from the field overall speaks for itself doesn't it?

um, just to clarfiy, Al Jefferson starts and plays Center. It doesn't matter if his natural position is PF. He plays C. There is no argument about that. And he does an ok job at it, 23-11.

ok a couple things...... There is no way rose(yet) is top 5..... There is no way Amare is better then Duncan, KG , Pau. There is no way Al Horford(yet) or bynum(yet) are top 5 Centers

This is the best list
PG
1) C Paul (The best Plain and simple)
2) T. Parker ( A couple Rings great all around PG)
3) C Billups ( Same as Parker)
4) D. Will ( No rings, excellent all around pg)
5) Nash / Harris / Rondo ( Nash 2 time MVP, Harris arguably best in east at pg, and Rondo plays tremendous with big 3)

1) Kobe (Bling = 4 and counting)
2) Wade ( 1 Ring, excellent scorer)
3) B.Roy (Star of up and coming Blazers team... Natural SG)
4) J. Johnson (Turned around a messy Hawks team lol)
5) Carter ( Has had stats to compete with Kobe and Queen James)

SF
1) Lebron (A little boy trapped inside of a superstar)
2) Melo (Excellent SF develped + developing J, can drive)
3) Pierce (1 Ring, good stats)
4) Butler (Superb defender, carried a wizards team without "Agent 6-40 shooting")
5) Durant (Up and coming superstar)

PF
1) Duncan (Look at his fingers, got the rings)
2) KG ( If it wasn't for stupid management in Minny he would b #1)
3) Gasol (1 Ring, brought terribad grizzlies team to playoffs few years back)
4) Amare ( A few playoff appearances and rising statistics)
5) Bosh / Nowitzki (Had his chance to be superstar Bosh but left his team with the 9th pick, Nowitzki is an excellent scorer.... thats it)

C
1) Dwight (No explanation, the boy has his vitamins :) )
2) Yao (This is without injury)
3) Shaqtus (Would be #1 but since this is current and he is slowly fading)
4) Al Jefferson (Whats left of KG , 20 and 10 guy)
5) Nene (Great starting center providing solid contributions

'I think this sums it best any explanations ask lawl

i left sheed at center and not at pf because there are no real centers that prove anything besides the top 3 dwight, shaw, and yao!! everybody else shouldnt even really be mentioned. bynum aint prove nothin even when he is healthy so i left sheed there. And it dont matter what al jefferson plays right now, he is a pf. people have to adjust sometimes because there may not be nobody else worth starting that position on the roster, so i left him at his REAL position PERIOD!! hey dude, you can put them wherever you like. But the fact is, Al Jefferson plays center. THerefore, he is a center. Now, if the Wolves get a true center one day, than yes, he is now a PF. Do you follow that logic?
And Sheed has never played center in his life. So putting him there doesn't make sense, when you say that another guy who has started 110 games the past 2 years at C is not a C.

No he isnt? He doesnt play defense, ima say it DWest plays more defense then him. I think he only had 7 blocks or something, :pity: He offensive game is good, a mid range shot would make it even better,

I understand though. Almost nobody here watches Wolves games. But AJ starts at C, and plays C. Is he a natural PF? Yes. But he plays C, therefore, must be regarded as such

Thats why Ive given up arguing these arbitrary semantics, I rank players by 3 positions, Points, Swings, and Bigs. Thats all there should be, maybe a separate section for tweaners.

interesting. I could agree with that dude. Easily. So many players are interchangeable now, so that makes sense.
