Hey guys, Some of you may remember but I conducted a poll at the start of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. I would like to start this up once more considering the NBA season is now over and we can get to this discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

I also removed Josh Smith from the thread, going back over his games started, he should be under the PF list. Thats where he will go..

PG Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Lebron James
2) Carmelo Anthony
3) Kevin Durant
4) Paul Pierce
5) Danny Granger
6) Andre Iguodala
7) Caron Butler
8) Hedo Turkoglu
9)
10)

Last Years SF rankings:

1) Lebron James
2) Paul Pierce
3) Carmelo Anthony
4) Caron Butler
5) Ron Artest
6) Shawn Marion
7) Josh Smith
8) Richard Jefferson
9) Lamar Odom
10) Tayshaun Prince

Ron Artest is the best two way player left as far as these small forwards

I think Jackson is better, his defense is very good, maybe as good as Artest at this point. Plus Jackson is a much better scorer than Artest.

Ron Artest. A pretty good offensive player who can be a playmaker or spot up shooter. Defensively, he is one of the best perimeter defenders in the game as he can lockdown any SG/SF and some PF's with his great combination of strength and lateral quickness.

I went with Ron Artest.

Next year at this time Thaddeus Young will definitely be pushing to be included in this list.

Really? IMO Artest's Defense >>>>>>>>>>>Jackson's Defense. But I think Jackson is better overall then Artest. At scoring they're pretty close, but Jackson is better by a little. Defense goes to Artest. The strongest point of why Jackson is better than Artest is his passing. Jackson is a way better passer than Artest.

I went with Artest. Jackson is good, but he lead the NBA in turnovers last season, and by .5 more than the guy with the 2nd most.

This was Jacksons first year of running pointforward in his career. he carried the Warriors to every win we had( which i know wasn't much). But if atrest was in his position, no doubt in my mind he would have gotten wayyy more TOs than stack jack.

But im not knocking artest. Hes one of my fav players

artest, he was 5th last season and he is basically the same as he was in 2008 the only reason why he is down from the rankings is because granger and durant improved which means alot of guys will go down and artest is one of those guys

hey gsw fan like you said if artest was in sjaxs position with the warriors then he would get more TOs... but answer this, do you think he would get as much assists if he was in artests position in houston?

This is exactly what I was going to type, watching Young this year made me think: that guy is a star in the making.

Anyone who votes Stephen Jackson is probably in the same crowd that thinks Al Thornton is a good player. Stephen Jackson epitomizes everything that is wrong with basing players by per game averages. Hey 21-6-5, he must be good. Forget the fact that he sees a crapload more possessions and is inefficient with them.
