Ken Berger of CBSSports.com is reporting that the Raptors are close to signing restricted free agent Jarrett Jack to an offer sheet.

If Jack signs with Toronto, the Pacers would have seven days to match the offer.

Any other sources? and how much is the offer?

This would be a good move for the Raptors. Apparently Bosh and Jack are good friends from Georgia Tech. This would be yet another reason for Bosh to sign a extension this summer.

Jack can play SG and back-up Calderon at PG. They don't need to do anything with Calderon.

yeah he would most likely play back up to calderon or starting depending on how Derozan develops

Believe me JJ is not a starting PG on a championship team. He is a good backup on a championship team, He is very TO prone.

Getting one of Chris Bosh's good friend? Couldn't hurt. Might help convince him to stay.

whether he comes or not i can see Chris Bosh staying with us due to the shrinking cap and Colangelos ability to construct at team in position to make a run in the future

wow bc is really working his magic this offseason, most of our weaknesses from last season have been covered up, if we can sign jack, get a good backup center and bring back delfino, we are definatly making the playoffs next year

If it's less than $4M the first year, I'm guessing the Pacers will match.

Seems they offered the full MLE ($5.8M) for 4 years.

JJ is so undersized for a 2.. I remember Kobe posting him up with seconds ticking down in a tie game and Kobe just man-handled him with size and then went with the fade away jumper for the win...

It says they preserved their MLE to use on Jack, it doesn't say they used the full MLE. That's a lot of money to use on a backup PG/undersized SG. The only way I see them throwing that much money around is if they think Calderon might not be around...
