A true blood and guts warrior nobody could take it like this guy i just hope that all the beatings he took didn't cause his death. I wonder how great he could have been if he didn't always have hand injuries.

Not surprised with any boxing death. Surprised by the name though. RIP Arturo. You will go down as one of the best Canadian fighters to have ever lived, and your fights with Mickey Ward will go down as arguably the greatest boxing trilogy ever.

Reports are claiming murder?

Wow, what a shame. A very entertaining fighter.

Too many people shooting each other lately. That makes me a sad panda.

Why not?

His wife is apparently being held for questioning right now. Reports say she claims to have been in the hotel room for something like six hours before realizing he was dead. Such a shame, RIP to one of the greatest fighters this country has ever produced.

one of my favorite fighters. When i was told he died i nearly cried. The guy was a class act in the ring and as much as i thought he shared the same quality outside, he obviously wasn't a fantastic guy. RIP to a warrior and a motivation to people around the world. He left his mark on boxing. God bless

Espn says his wife was officially charged. Apparently she strangled him with a purse strap and just chilled in the apartment for 10 hours. Well thats what sportcenter just said.

Yeah I couldn't believe that. A great boxer strangled to death by his wife. Unreal

He wasn't the best boxer, not even close, but one of the most entertaining ones of all time. He was a people's fighter. One of a few boxers where you could pick out any one of his fights and you're guaranteed a good watch, even one of his losses. He'll be most remembered for his trilogy with Mickey Ward, especially the last bout where he fought one handed for a good portion of the fight. Just incredibly sad to hear about his passing.

This is really a shame to die in his honeymoon as such a young age.

Remembering Arturo Gatti. He was not a bad boxer by any means. He actually fought the top fighters of his weight division and made every fight as interesting as can be. He may not have been the best fighter out there, but he is definitely a good fighter and someone to remember.

May he rest in peace.
