Hey guys, Some of you may remember but I conducted a poll at the start of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. I would like to start this up once more considering the NBA season is now over and we can get to this discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

I also removed Josh Smith from the thread, going back over his games started, he should be under the PF list. Thats where he will go..

PG Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Lebron James
2) Carmelo Anthony
3) Kevin Durant
4) Paul Pierce
5) Danny Granger
6) Andre Iguodala
7) Caron Butler
8)
9)
10)

Last Years SF rankings:

1) Lebron James
2) Paul Pierce
3) Carmelo Anthony
4) Caron Butler
5) Ron Artest
6) Shawn Marion
7) Josh Smith
8) Richard Jefferson
9) Lamar Odom
10) Tayshaun Prince

Isn't Jackson a SG?

ManRam

ron is higher than iguodala and caron. ron can do everything, he's a poor mans lebron

What can he do that those two can't do?

Scoring:
Artest- 17ppg on 40% shooting, 40% from three
Iggy- 19ppg on 47% shooting, 30% from three
Caron- 21ppg on 45% shooting, 31% from three

Ron is the better three point shooter, that's it. 40% from the field blows.

Rebounding/Assists:
Artest- 5.2/3.3
Iggy-5.3/5.3
Butler-6.2/4.3

So again, Artest trails both those two in both...

PER:
Artest: 15.64
Iggy: 18.49
Caron: 18.83

Still think he's better?

Defense:
Steals and blocks are all basically identical between the three.

Opponent PER:
Artest: 14.4
Iggy: 14.9
Butler: 19.1

Artest is the better defender...but you're never going to convince me he's a better all around player than the other 2. Ron's offensive IQ is horrendous. He's a liability on offense. He can be a shut down defender, but Iggy and Caron are no slouches.

Remember before the brawl in Detroit, people were saying Artest was a top ten player. Now he barley makes the top ten SF list.

I expect him to return to old form this year playing along with KB24. He has my vote on this one.

I remember a lot of votes for Turkoglu as the 3rd best SF.

Yes. That same guy who made his field goals count when it mattered.

Did you mean the guy who can't shoot for his life and only has a good FG% because he dunks everytime?

No, I meant the guy that never settles for jumpshots and drives to the basket and isn't soft. Oh and...even better, the guy plays defense.

I'm sure if Gerald Wallace played with Jameer Nelson, Rashard Lewis, and Dwight Howard, he may win some games as well.

When you're not the best player on your team, you don't really control who wins. Its kinda easy with the best center in the league.

He'll be useless if he played with those guys.

Howards will take all his rebounding away and since Howard is in the middle, there's not as much space for him to drive.

That's why he got Orlando so much wins with his clutch shooting.

Your right. Turkoglu does nothing when the clock runs down.

IversonIsKrazy

Turk has such crappy D. Ron ARtest really chucks up messed up shots way too often, 40% FG. G-Force is good but has never made the playoffs in his 8 year career (SAC doesnt count, he was a benchwarmer then), and has a crappy 3-point shot.

I gotta go with Stephen Jackson. 21ppg, 6.5apg, 5rpg, thas really good. Plus he has some underrated D.

Half of the games where Turkoglu shot really well at the end of games, they ended up losing anyway, so that doesn't matter.

I said clutch. You said he had nothing to do with a lot of hte Magic's success but his clutch shots say otherwise.
