The Portland Trail Blazers have offered Utah Jazz free agent Paul Millsap a four-year contract worth between $32 million and $36 million, according to league sources.

The offer includes a hefty signing bonus that will make it difficult for Utah to match. The Jazz will be presented with the offer Saturday and have seven days to match because Millsap is a restricted free agent.

Chris Broussard covers the NBA for ESPN The Magazine.

I'm sure Utah will offer more. Maybe they will offer 5 years for 50 million.

Utah can keep Boozer all summer and even into next year. I am sure they can find some way to get him off the books between now and then.

David Lee is crying somewhere while in the process for firing his agent.

I have no idea why they are going for a PF when they have Aldridge. Lamar Odom will be a much better fit with them. Their biggest weakness IMO is SF (Outlaw is good, but he's not a starter). Odom will brings size, 6'10", versatility, he can bring up the ball, he can pass, he can shoot.

A Portland insider on 95.5 The Game just said that the first year of the contract would be worth $15M to Millsap and would cost the Jazz a total of $24M in order to match the offer (unless they work a trade free up capspace.)
