View Full Version : Salary Cap could determine 2010 FA future

ESPN produced a report on Wednesday that the NBA's salary cap is expected to be lowered to approximately $50 million next season, which could influence what LeBron James will do this summer.

In simple terms, it means there will be less money available for free agents than expected next summer. James could be leaving substantial money on the table if he doesn't sign the max extension that the Cavs will offer him later this month, which could influence him to make a decision now instead of waiting until next year.

Same would apply to other players like wade, amare, bosh etc.

And as much as they all want to "win" I can not imagine them leaving all the money on the table for that.

if this is true then the knicks may only have enough to sign for 1 nba star. or just not lebron

Looks like the 2010 FA frenzy just went down the crapper. haha

You know they sent a note next to New York's $23 million+ invoice that said:

"Sucks to be you,

Now you don't have any shot at landing LeBron James. Pay me my money by Friday.
