Hey guys, Some of you may remember but I conducted a poll at the start of the season that had PSD users vote for the top 10 players at each position. I would like to start this up once more considering the NBA season is now over and we can get to this discussion since lots has changed since the start of last season. Please TRY AND VOTE FOR THE BEST PLAYER AND DON'T BE A HOMER. I will leave the poll open for one day and than we can carry on to the next best player at that position. I will add more players after each round...Enjoy.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best.

PG Rankings DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

1) Lebron James
2) Carmelo Anthony
3) Kevin Durant
4) Paul Pierce
5)
6)

Last Years SF rankings:

Imo in a couple years granger could be up there at number 2. Him and durant have great futures.

granger being this low just shows how little most ppl know about basketball. ppl just follow the huge names cuz pierce isnt exactly that great and granger is VERY efficient. IMO...and this is just IMO, but granger is in a tie with durant if he isnt ahead and is just as good as melo all things considered. the melo part might be a little bit of a stretch tho

I think Prince is no longer a top 5 SF, let alone a top 10 SF. His offensive game is above average and his defense is nowhere near as good as it once was when he shutdown Kobe in the finals years back..

Iggy.

Granger's point totals look amazing, but he's shooting the ball 5 more times a game. Iggy is a premiere, and superior defender. He shoots 47% from the field, compared to Granger's 45%. Iggy is a better passer, rebounder, ball handler, leader and athlete. Granger is a better shooter, and probably a slightly better scorer, but if Iggy is on as bad of a team as Granger, he's scoring 20+ easily. Iggy is a freak. Such a crazy athlete.

I would much rather have Hedo than Iggy or Smith. I do like Granger and Butler of course. I have never really been impressed by Iggy, I never see him getting much better than what he is now. I think Smith has the talent to become a top 3 SF but he relies to often on back door cuts and taking it to the basket, not to say its a bad thing but he has no game outside 15 feet to speak of. After seeing what Hedo did in the finals as the go to guy for the magic, he is easily in my mind better than Iggy and Smith.

So when am I going to see Lamar's name in the poll? Or is he going to be in the PF poll?

I'm sorry but there is no way Granger is better than Butler. Butler puts up great numbers every season. Granger JUST started developing his game for the past 2 years.

that aint much of an agrument. Granger is younger and has a smaller sample size to work with. Just because Butler has played longer does not mean he is better than Granger.

This one goes to Granger pretty easily, then Artest then Iggy. The rest of the guys are pretty even.

Honestly, it's hard for me to vote for a guy who I NEVER see on T.V. Indy doesnt make many TNT or sunday afternoon games! NBA does a slack job in that category!

I don't see how Granger dropped this low, his D is ALOT better than Durant's and he's just flat out better than Pierce.

x2 I voted for Smith to and I feel u can make an argument for the Prince but neither one of them will win in this thread because to me this voting thing is all about a numbers game so Granger will definitely get the #5 spot

Look at the teams these guys are on before you vote and look at what option they are on their team. Caron Butler gets no love. He had my vote at 4.

butler
smith
iggy

on any given night i think the 10 could be anybody on the list. its hard to leave off prince, g wall, and jefferson. especially when smith plays pf while marvin is sf.

ive never been a big turk fan. i think he is a good scorer but inconsistent and doesnt do much other than score.

I had Hedo this turn after viewing the choices, even though I'm a huge Granger fan...I just gave recent history too much props i guess(Magic in the NBA finals) but i can't put hedo below granger just yet. I agree the Granger has the better overall game, offense and defense, but Hedo has the ability to make other players better, which unforunately Granger doesn't have yet but i think he can since he seems to improve himself every year.

But Granger being out of the top 5 does bug me...he can be spoken of as one of the top 3 IMO and some others have agreed...he, durant and carmelo can be flipped around anyway and i don't think i could disagree on any order for those three, just as long as granger is still in the top 3, sorry pierce, but you gotta go down a few.

Easily Danny Granger. I think he is way better than Paul Pierce. He is a better scorer, rebounder, and defender. The only thing Pierce is better than Granger at is passing.
Hell I think Butler is better than Pierce too.

I hope the people that actually voted for Artest and Turkoglu are just being homers because anyone that actually watches any basketball can see that Granger is way better. Imo he should have been 3rd or 4th, but with how close Granger and KDs numbers were I cant really argue if you put him before Granger.

As a Pacers fan I agree with all but one think. PP is a better defender that Granger. I actually think Granger was worse on D last season than in years past. That is the one thing he needs to approve on Imo.:)

Granger. Hedo is a terrible defender. Ron Artest has a tendency to chuck up wild shots. After Granger, im going to have to say #6 is the underrated Stephen Jackson.
