here is the link, and the part where they talk about it. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/articles/2009/07/07/hill_is_ainge8217s_new_target/?page=full

I have been wondering if and when the Hornets were going to start expressing interest in Glenn Davis.... finally some action...some positive rumored action!

Baby talk
Memphis, New Orleans, and San Antonio are interested in Glen Davis, a restricted free agent forward, but no offers have been made, according to an NBA source. The Spurs prefer Detroit free agent forward Antonio McDyess.

Davis is not high on Orlando’s list. “Not today,’’ Smith said. “I think we like who we like. You can’t make us like who we don’t like. There’s been a lot written about who we like and most of it is not true. We have a tendency to like who we like - most franchises do - so, right now, he’s just not on our radar.’’

Now, here is the question, would you guys rather see Glenn Davis or Brandon Bass on the Hornets next season????

I have even more news....this is from ME, first hand:

I have no link for this but this morning I hear this announcement on the radio 1210AM THE SCORE...with Hornets TV announcer Jordy Hultberg.

THE HORNETS OFFERED BRANDON BASS A 5 YEAR, $25 MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

lets just hope he accepts the offer. Dallas Morn news today said his agent, Tony Dutt claimed Bass is still "very interested" in Dallas still.....

lol lol. If we trade West, we are getting a legit Starter at SF or SG...believe that.

Im not sure which one I would rather, Bass or Davis. We would benefit from both....so as loing as we dont let both of them slip through our grasps and we dont come up empty handed, im fine

I rather get Davis thann Bass. Davis can at least hit a wide open jumper. and besides another LSU alumni!

We can turn into the New Orleans Tigers!

they r both LSU alumni LOL...either way, I hope no one on here would be complaining...at this stage in the game we are near "desperate" to land either on of these guys. Both have promising attributes. Both young. And without question both are and will be productive players.

bass has never been anything more than a solid back up, not impressed.

Bass is more then a solid backup he is a great backup and has mad potential.

I just don't like Big Baby

I have to agree with Vinny, he has been a SUPERB backup....that goes without question. Only had 19mins per game and his numbers were 8.5 points 4.5 rebs per game, which is less mins than Big Baby, but more points and rebounds!!!!!!!!...WAKE UP SPACEMANDAVE!!! Those numbers are better ALL of our starters except CP3, WEST, and TYSON.

But I disagree with Vinny in the sense that, I personally really like Big Baby's game...he just needs to work on rebounding.

I didnt mean his game as much as his attitude.

You won't be able to just sign Big baby... The celtics would do a sign and trade and most likely add the expiring contracts of scal and tony allen.. Maybe those 3 for Posey, butler and Armstrong or something like that... maybe those 3 for tyson chandler

I am a huge celtics fan and you guys would love big baby and trust me he will be much better then Bass
