I quit watching boxing about 10 years ago so any of the newer guys will probably be ignorant to me but I will give this a shot.

Best Heavyweight: Muhammed Ali

Best Middleweight: Sugar Ray Robinson

Best Lightweight: Roberto Duran

Heaviest Punch: George Foreman

Fastest Hands: Meldrick Taylor

Best Jaw: Joe Grim

Toughest Knockout:

Fighter You Would Fear the Most in the Ring: Mike Tyson

Don't bash me too much. I used to watch all the time and watched more of the classic fights. I'm made the transition from boxing to mma about 10 years ago.

The fast hands one is a bit tricky because the answer is different if you're talking about pound-for-pound or in weight classes. Obviously the lower you go in weight the faster guys are gonna be but some like Roy Jones Jr. or Muhammed Ali were really fast for their weight classes. Meldrick Taylor had probably the fastest hands I've seen but I'm sure there are faster.

I went with Joe Grim for best chin and those that haven't read the story need to check it out. The man retired with a career record of 10-96-9. You read that correctly he lost that many fights. But his claim to fame is that people couldn't knock him out. He didn't get knocked out until about his 70th fight. Out of his 115 career fights an amazing 104 of them went to decision. Champions like Jack O'Brien, Joe Walcott, Jack Johnson, Joe Gans etc. tried several times but were unable to finish Joe Grim even though his style led him to taking tons of punishment.

Looks like we agree on most things. I actually left off the fastest hands because of what you said and it's difficult to judge that for people from different weight classses.

I think some of those are pretty consensus if you polled a ton of fans. The one about whom you would fear the most in the ring has to be Mike Tyson in his prime. When he was in his prime he was more like a killing machine than a man. I have had amatuer boxing and kickboxing matches in the past and there are three main kinds of fear for fighters. (1) Fear of getting embarrassed (2) Fear of letting everyone including yourself down (3) Fear of getting hurt. Against Mike Tyson all three of those were very real possibilities.
