No doubt its Ron Artest for the MLE... what a steal.

I have a feeling this is going to turn into another Boston fans vs. Lakers fans thread, but its definitely Artest for the MLE

Artest signing for 3 or 4 million what he could have gotten on the open market

It's Arenas for what he was already being paid.
Artest would be a close second.

so far.. Boston. Sheed just seems to be the 6th man they need. But I think they're losing powe and big baby..

I mean Artest is great player and all.. he brings a new dimension to the Lakers. But personally, id prefer Trevor.. He just seems like a better fit.

RJ to San Antonio via trade looks good too.
VC to Orlando... i dunno..
Shaq to the Lebrons... we'll see.
Hedo to Toronto... seems good.. won't really matter though.
The Piston pick ups.... nice i guess... if they could trade Rip for a banger.

Artest- Sheed a close second. There could be chemistry issues for both with their new teams, so it will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Ron Artest is definately better than Ariza in terms of "who is a better player?" but Ariza fits much better into the Lakers offense than Artest does. Ariza is a slasher who given room can hit open shots, Artest is Kevin Durant (shoots alot of 3s and mid-range jumpers while covered/not covered) but he doesn't shoot it anywhere near Durant's efficiency, offensively they'll want him to take open shots that Kobe/Gasol get him when they're doubled but that takes away from the Lakers offense because Ariza could get to the rim, Artest just chucks shots. If they get Odom they're fine, best acquisition, otherwise a bad move on Mitch's part

If boston can work out the deal with Grant Hill then I have to give them the edge over the Lakers because Hill and Sheed are to great pick ups for them

1. Ron Artest (LAL)
2. Ben Gordon/Charlie Villanueva(DET)
3. Trevor Ariza (HOU)
